PFLP calls for an end to the "calm" with the occupation and the creation of a united armed resistance front

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine issued a statement calling for an end to the so-called "calm" or "truce" with the occupation, noting that the experience of this "calm" has been a sword upon the neck of our people and a pretext to justify occupation, closures and continued aggression upon our people. The PFLP called instead for an organized and united front of armed resistance and response to Israeli attacks.

The Front called for this resistance front to hold collective leadership to decide when, where and in what ways and forms to respond to the occupation and aggression and to not allow the involvement of the armed groups in internal Palestinian affairs, but rather to direct that attention to resisting the Israeli enemy.

The PFLP statement said further that this "calm," in the end, benefited the Israeli enemy, as crossings have remained even more tightly closed and the Israeli aggression against our people did not stop, and in fact killed and wounded dozens from the period from June 19, 2007 until now.

The statement said further that the calm should not be extended, and that instead, a policy of self-defense and continuing response to Israeli aggression is required.

In addition, Comrade Jamil Mizher, member of the Central Committee of the PFLP, confirmed in a televised interview with BBC Arabic that the Front opposes the continuation of the "calm," and that the occupation was the beneficiary of this calm. Comrade Mizher said, "The Zionist occupation is the beneficiary of the truce, which brought no good to the Palestinian people. The occupier continues to close the crossings, tighten the grip on the Gaza Strip, and create a prison that is a terrible threat to life and health. Palestinians are living under disastrous health and environmental conditions that are unprecedented and very serious at all levels."

Comrade Mizher called upon all resistance forces to reevaluate the "calm," saying that the alternative is an agreement among all resistance forces and factions to form a united resistance front to coordinate the armed resistance, build national unity and uphold the Palestinian cause.

We are heading towards the decisive year against the US occupiers.

On the occasion of the first anniversary of Jihad and Liberation High Command, under the leadership of the Mujahideen Chief Izzat Ibrahim Al Duri, a team of journalists shared the life of the Iraqi Resistance combatants to find out about their heroic deeds against the US Occupying forces.. They met the Jihad and Liberation High Command spokesman, Dr. Kanaan Amin who ascertained that the Iraqi Resistance is heading towards the decisive year, and that victory is nearing. Said Dr. Kanaan: "The Resistance gets stronger and stronger, sheltered and nourished by the Iraqi people. Al Duri, thanks to the Lord, is in a perfect health and leads the Jihad.

This really irritates the enemy and rejoices our friends."

In some place, in one of the heroic Resistance battle fields which stretches all over the patriotic soil from the very north of Iraq to its very south.. a group of journalists who cares about conveying the truth, away from Media' lies and propaganda fabricated by the US and its servile tails to blackout and conceal the Iraqi people armed rejection for its forces all along these five and half last years.. was able to travel around more than one Resistance operational sector to get a precise idea about the Iraqi glorious Resistance deeds which made useless the third of the occupying forces, as the occupiers admitted themselves.

During this visit, the group of Journalists met Dr. Kanaan, the official spokesman of the Jihad and Liberation Supreme Command (JLSC), a year old formation to represent Iraq Resisting body, and which included since its inception 22 patriotic, national and Islamic factions. Since then the (JLSC), grew to include cover 33 combating factions established as Jihad armies, divisions and brigades. These factions are the back bone of the Iraqi Resistance under the leadership of the Chief of Mujahideen Mr. Izzat Ibrahim al Duri, the deputy president of the Revolution Council Command and the deputy general Commander of the Armed Forces for decades during the patriotic Iraqi regime before the occupation, led by the great Al Hadj martyr President Saddam Hussein, may the lord have mercy on him.

Dr. Kanaan, as we knew him, is a pure Iraqi personality, mixing professionalism in communicating with the others and various operations and combat deeds. He welcomed us with a shining smile of a man who believes in the cause of his people and its fatal victory against the occupiers-invaders.. He was holding in his hands a new video cassette that he appears to have just filmed, about the graduating of the new brigades of combatants who confronts the US enemy under the banner of (JLSC). The video cassette showed us an aircraft division during combat. When we watched the video we were absolutely stunned by the high professional combative level and the quality of the weapons the combatants developed by themselves. Dr. Kanaan, immediately brought us to reality and ascertained that what we saw, is nothing but a tiny portion and a drop in an ocean. Indeed, said Dr. Kanaan, the combatants you saw, have sprout from the pure people of Iraq. They are the real builders of the genuine patriotic Iraqi Army which shall liberate Iraq and will protect the borders of its nation. Thanks God, Who gives victory to the believers, we do have hundreds of thousands of combatants belonging to every kind of combat and they are the legitimate continuation of the Second Qadissya and the eternal Mother of All Battles' armies.

We asked Dr. Kanan the following questions.

Question: The public knows little about your Command and its formations, due to the blackout, the US tries hard to impose on the Media inside and outside Iraq.. Can you tell us about you?

Dr. Kanaan: About a year ago, many of the Iraqi Resistance factions acted according a method to hunt the occupier enemy, each in its own field, targeting the US enemy convoys, forces and infantry through IEDs, snipers and attacks. These factions were working under many names and were grouped by a coordination factor imposed by the nature of the resisting action and the area. The policies of these factions were based on the global popular resistance principle and on the initiative of every resistance deed. Consequently these main factions wanted to strengthen their actions to become more effective under a unified leadership with a staff Command, and a legal committee, which organizes and leads the tactical and the combat operations on every inch of the soil of Iraq, dividing Iraq into several geographical combat sectors, each directing the battle against the US invader-occupier-enemy, directly supervised by an elected leadership. Based on this, this effort was crowned through advise, dialogue and negotiations, with the formation of the Jihad and Liberation Supreme Command, which included, to start with 22 Jihadi patriotic and Islamic factions and where the chief of Mujahideen Mr. Izzat al Duri was unanimously elected as the supreme Commander of the Jihad and Liberation, because these factions believed deeply in his combat and Jihad legitimacy in Iraq's leadership and its Resistance and as a continuation of his blessed precessor the Martyr of the great Hajj, leader Saddam Hussein, may the Lord Have mercy upon his soul. Later on our formation grew wider last year to include 11 more of heroic combatants.

Question: Can you tell us about the first and the new factions which joined the High Command?

Dr. Kanaan: The Jihadi factions which joined the Supreme Command from its very inception beginning September 2007 are:

1- The Army of the Naqshabandi's Order.

2- The Army of the Prophet's companions.

3 - The Army of Murabiteen.

4 - Al Hamza Army.

5 - The RisalahArmy

6 - Ibn al Waleed' Army

7 - The Mujahedeen Unified Leadership (Iraq)

8- The Liberation Brigades.

9 - Al Farooq Army.

10 - The Army of the Liberation of Iraq.

11 - The Martyrs' Brigades.

12 - The Army of the Persevering.

13 - The Brigades of Jihad on the Soil of Mesopotamia.

14 - The Army of the Knight to liberate the autonomous region.

15 - The Jihad Brigades in Basra.

16 - The Falluja Jihadi Brigades.

17 - The Patriotic Popular Front for the Liberation of Iraq

18 - The Hussein Al Taff Brigades.

19 - The Liberation of the South Brigades.

20 - The Army of Henein.

21 - The Diyala Jihad and Liberation Brigades.

22 - The Brigades of Glory for the Liberation of Iraq.

This is how 22 patriotic, national and Islamic Resistance factions were formed based on a long term, global Jihad plan of action to destroy the invader occupier US enemy, to liberate the homeland from every kind of control, hegemony, exploitation and blackmail.

During the (JLSC)' first year, 11 Jihadi factions joined its ranks and now the High Command includes 33 factions of hard core combatants known for their chivalry, their love for their homeland, their resolve and their faith in their sacrosanct values. Besides, there are many other factions which have asked to join in and which will publicize later on after achieving the necessary requirements. The factions which joined the Command during the first year of its inception are the following:

1 - The Army of the Believers.

2 - The Army of May Revolutionaries.

3 - The Brigades of the Mountain Mast.

4 - The Army of the Al Mu'tazz Billah (Proud with the Lord)

5 - The Army of the Ten Messengers

6 - The Army of the Martyr 'Abir (Abir is an Iraqi child ferociously raped and killed with all the members of her family by a gang of US democratic army. The US criminals were tried in a monkey court and were sent o jail for few days only. This is the US, the land of law, democracy, order and institutions.. - (a translator's note)

7 - The Army of Al Harith.

8 - The Army of Al Muthanna.

9 - The Army of Bilal the Kushite (Bilal an Ethiopian was the first Christian convert to Islam and the first muezzin ever known for his sweet voice -(a translator's note)

10 - The Army of Those Clad with Glory.

11 - The Army of the Invincible.

Question: We are told that your formation has rather an Islamic and a secular Baathist character.. How is it possible to mix these contradictory doctrines?

Dr. Kanaan: Before answering your question, I would like to precise something very important.. There is no doctrinal contradictions in amongst all the factions which act under the banner of Jihad and Liberation Supreme Command. Yes! There are some factions with national, patriotic or Islamic characteristics but all believe deeply in the Islam principles and believe that the duty of liberating the homeland is an honor for every Iraqi whatever is his community, ethny or belonging. It is an important point that should be made clear for every one. Hence, I am telling you that the genuine Islamic faith characteristic doesn't contradict at all with the Baath national, patriotic or Islamic language. The mixture has absolutely no contradictory elements. It is rather a harmonious component which represent the Iraqi people from its extreme north to its extreme south.. for the factions include the sons and daughters of Iraq, be Arabs, Kurds, Shia, Sunnis, Muslims or Christians.. This is the fabric of Iraq as it always has been.. and which incarnates all the colors of the prism of Iraq. We consider that these factions with their deed, their word and speech, all express the will of our Iraqi people from Zakho to Basra and from Khaniqin to Rutba.

Question: All liberation movements all over the world, and throughout the human history, were backed, supported and helped by local, regional and international parties materially, and morally in a way or in an other.. You, who backs you,?

Dr. Kanaan: Our national heroic Resistance is unique in history! Indeed! Our Resistance is the only Resistance in the world which has no an international or a regional support, either material or moral, rather the Iraqi heroic Resistance is being fought by almost every body except some honorable people from our Arab homeland. As you said, all the Resistance' movements in the world were helped except this honorable Iraqi Resistance whom the Lord gave us as a gift. But let me tell you! Thanks God, the Iraqi Resistance is a hundred per cent Iraqi, i.e., it is Iraqi by its combat and is Iraqi by its funding. The Jihadi factions fund themselves by themselves relying on the great arms and ammunitions' stocks provided by the patriotic Iraqi State before the occupation, and which are now within the hands of our hero Mujahideen and enable us to fighting the enemy for ever.. and to inflicting the US invaders formidable losses. Allow me here to ascertain that the Iraqi people is the only nourishing breast of its patriotic heroic Resistance and its only financial backer, and the Iraqi Resistance is, as the Supreme Commander for Jihad and Liberation once said, is Iraqi bred and is Iraqi funded. That is why, our Resistance is blessed by the Lord.

Question: You said some days ago, that you are negotiating with other Resistance parties and formations. Can you tell us about the nature of these talks, heir aims? Have you reached any conclusions or results?

Dr. Kanaan: Since the inception of the Supreme Command a year ago, and which included 22 fundamental Jihadi factions within the patriotic, national and Islamic Resistance, you can find every community and groups of the great Iraqi people, be Arabs, Kurds, Turkomen, Muslims, Christians, Shia and Sunnis. These factions have made known their Combat Jihadi program and ascertained their readiness to talk with every Jihadi faction in the field and with every militant forces which reject the Occupation to expel the invaders and liberate the homeland on a positive and open minded fraternal and sincere spirit basis to achieve the will of the Iraqi to liberate our country from the Occupiers and their servile puppets.

Since then, we intensified our efforts to unify the ranks with all the factions, and all the combat Fronts individually and as groups. These negotiations aim at fastening the victory and expelling the Occupier.. What we want is the unity of the combating forces, this unity which irritates the Occupier and terrifies him and rejoices the heart of every honorable and pure patriot.

We, in the Jihad and Liberation' Supreme Command, we are aware, that these negotiations should serve our Faith, and the Homeland and must satisfy the will of the Iraqis. Thanks God, there is a real awareness of the Jihadi combating factions which are fighting the US enemy for a unified Jihadi action. We hope that these negotiations will be, soon, crowned with success for the benefits of all Iraqis, Arabs and Muslims.

Question: We hear from time to time that there are negotiations between the Resistance factions and the US, some are direct, and others are through mediators. Is that true? I these were leaks why don't you answer either by confirming or denying this news?

Dr. Kanaan: The High Command for Jihad and Liberation has made it clear since its first fundamental Congress its commitment to the sacrosanct inalterable conditions which are the only basis for any negotiations with the enemy. These conditions are the rights of Iraq and Iraqis. No body, absolutely, no one can desist from the right of Iraq and of Iraqis.. There will be absolutely no negotiation with the occupier-enemy unless he recognizes the patriotic Resistance with all its patriotic, national and Islamic factions and with all its armed and unarmed formations as the only and sole representative of Iraq and of its generous people. Also, the US enemy should declare officially and publicly that he is withdrawing from Iraq without any condition or restrictions either through an immediate withdrawal or through a timed plan, his commitments to compensate Iraq, for all our homeland endured materially and morally and cancel every laws and bills produced after the Occupation, liberate all the detainees, the political prisoners, and stop raiding homes, killing the innocent; destroying and displacing people by force, and must re establish the patriotic Iraqi army and the security services according to their laws and organization plus other conditions published by the Fundamental Congress en rapport to the rights of Iraq and of Iraqis.

We ascertain that these conditions are inalterable and we do comprehend that the loathed enemy, known for his wickedness and ruse, tries with every mean to prevail on the heroic patriotic Resistance, deform its reputation through such leaks and lies… Considerer! This patriotic heroic Resistance was able with its terrible blows to break the enemy backbone and wreck its occupational project.

For this reason, we are aware that any negotiation with the Occupier, before time will serve him and his stooges. These Media leaks are one of the US traps that lured some short vision and blind people. I seize this occasion to confirm that the Supreme Command for Jihad and Liberation has not neogitated and will never undertake any negotiations with the occupier-enemy unless according to the declared conditions and shall not utter an iota to change these conditions. The will of the Iraqis and their Jihadi and patriotic factions are able to make the enemy kneel and answer their patriotic requirements and has achieved a long way to attain this objective, and what is remaining is the decisive phase which is looming by the will of the Lord.

Question: Is your Media efforts equal and goes hand in hand with the military operations against the Occupier, and as you know the information is fifty per cent of the battle?

Dr. Kanaan: Let me tell you frankly that the Media blockade endured by the patriotic, national, and Islamic Resistance represented by our Jihadi Leadership (JLSC) is huge. Our enemy has mobilized all his capabilities, his propaganda' tools and lies' trumpets. He tries with all his propaganda tools to deform the beautiful face of our heroic patriotic Resistance. Nevertheless, and despite all this, we were able thanks God, to breach this wall with our own means and initiatives. In any case you know that reaching the Media tools, now, and specially the audiovisual, is not at all an easy task for the enemy controls with his formidable capabilities and material means all these TV channels etc.

I do agree with you, that our Media efforts don't converge with our combat operations in the field which the occupier enemy knows pretty well before our friends. Indeed! The military results after more than five years of heroic operations against the occupation forces are now well known for every one and we can sum them with the failure of the US project in Iraq, where thousands of the enemy personnel were killed, maimed and, and where thousands of his military equipment were destroyed, through combat operations such as snipers, IEDs, rockets' attacks and military confrontation.

Unfortunately this military effort was not publicized enough due to the US' control over the Media sites. as I said! Despite all this we didn't neglect this in our military operations against the enemy. As you have witnessed, our Jihad factions record all their combat operations through films and written documents on CDs we distribute inside Iraq. Some times we do succeed into showing some of our combat operations in one or two satellite's channels in amongst the hundreds that exist. From the very beginning, we, in the Jihad and Liberation Supreme Command we have granted the Media a great importance and we have established a Media committee in charge of documenting all the Jihadi operations. So far, we have issued two publications on our Jihadi operations with CDs showing some distinguished and outstanding combat activities against the US Occupier and we are about to publish another one which shows the latest' Mujahideen operations against the US occupier.

Question: The US Media claims from time to time and through its Arabic speaking channels, local and regional, many lies and calumnies regarding the person of Mr. Izzat Al Duri, announcing times and again his death. What do you say about that?

Dr. Kanaan: The Chief of the Mujahideen Izzat Al Duri is in a very good health and enjoys the highest moral because of his faith and his combat ability to confront the loathed US Occupier. This indeed rejoices every believer in God and irritates every infidel, puppets and homeland' traitor. The Resistance on every inch of the soil of Iraq, has made the US occupier and his stooges, go berserk and loose their mind. Despite these plots, lies and conspiracies, Izzat al Duri stayed steadfast, resolved and unflinching.

Our Leader is amongst his brother combatants on every honorable combat arena that he plans, commands and leads daily. His latest audio message was a slap in the face of those wicked who hate Iraq and a shock for the enemy who despite his might, was not able to prevent the voice of the truth from reaching the hearts and minds of the believers Mujahideen.

Question: Your leadership started to document its combat operations against the US occupying forces through many CDs. This is a good thing! It is however, very difficult for the public to see any of these. So tell us how can we get these CDs?

Dr. Kanaan: As explained previously, the Information Committee in the Jihad and Liberation' Supreme Command has set a Media plan to document every Jihadi combat operation and those of the factions which work with us. Yes, there are different approaches in between these factions concerning this question. Take for example the Information Committee of the Naqshabandi Order. They prints tens of thousands of CDs which show their operations against the US occupier and distribute them to every Jihadi factions and to the public inside Iraq and sometimes outside the country. This is also the case of the Murabiteen's Army, the Companions' Army, and the Brigades of Glory. We also about to publish these operations on the (JLSC)' Internet site and those of the Armies, the factions and the Brigades which work with us, our site is visited by hundreds of thousands of people, and you can take a look yourself on these Jihadi sites and specially the High Command's and the Naqshabandi' order's, the Murabiteen's or the Companions'.

Question: What we have seen didn't actually quench our curiosity.. for we were not allowed to use our cameras.. We do understand the security conditions and the ferocious US occupier behavior.. Are you going to invite us again?

Dr. Kanaan: In fact we do care about our Mujahideen combatants' security and about your security too. As you know the wicked US occupier tries his best to reach them, mobilizing for the purpose many traitors who sold their souls and honor with a handful of dollars. For this reason we took strict security decisions to wreck these US enemy attempts against our Jihad factions. We realize, that taking photos is a necessity in our fight against this loathed US occupier. We promise to provide you with the photos of your visit, after the liberation of Iraq, God willing, which is very soon, and that your brothers Mujahideen filmed with their own cameras. They did record the operations against the US occupiers you witnessed with your eyes proper, and we will be delighted to welcome you again and whenever you like in the near future.

WHERE IS YOUR CONSCIENCE AMERICA?

The Iraqi prisoners of war in U.S. occupation jails in Iraq are being exposed to torture, lynching and assassination at the hands of the reactionary sectarian “Criminal Court”. This Court was created by the United States of America to kill the legitimate Leadership of Iraq and pave the way for dividing Iraq and erasing its Arab identity. In order to seize control over it and steal its resources, the occupiers had to distort its history and create puppet entities to serve its bidding.

The so-called Criminal Court headed by criminal sectarian individuals such as the presiding judge Mohammed Al Uraybi passed death sentences against several leaders, among them Ali Al-Majid and Abdul Ghani Abdul Ghafoor. Other sentences, varying from fifteen years to life imprisonment, were passed against several civilian and military leaders who were part of the legal Government of Martyr Saddam Hussein, who led the building of Iraq into the most advanced country in the area.

As the cowardly judge, who does not dare to leave the four square miles of the Occupation headquarters "Green Zone", read out the assassination order delivered to him by his masters, the leaders were well composed, proud and courageous. Mr. Abdul Ghafoor interrupted the judge. He proudly chanted slogans glorifying the Arabs and Islam and saluted the Jihad liberation fighters, welcoming martyrdom for Iraq. In a defiant and dignified manner, he shouted "Death to the U.S. and Persian occupation. Death to the traitors. Long live Iraq, the Arabs and Islam."

The trial has nothing to do with the political events of 1991, when criminal sectarian parties came from Iran, under the supervision of the mullahs and their officers, to murder Iraqis and to destabilize the country. Most of those who attended the court as witnesses using false testimony, are members of the organizations who took part in these events, who committed crimes of mass murder, robbery, mass rape, the burning of state institutions and other atrocities. These sectarian organizations are now the rulers of Iraq under occupation supervision and domination.

Mr. Abdul Ghani Abdul Ghafoor is an honorable man. He was in charge of the south and it was his duty to protect the population and the government institutions. He had to stop the mass murder and the atrocities of the criminals. Unlike his present “accusers”, he rejected the course of betrayal of his people and his country, which would have been destroyed and would have succumbed to the mullahs of Persia.

Those sentenced to be lynched for the Halabjah Gassing are true heroes, and I salute the bravery of General Ali Al Majid, whom I have known as a valiant man who defended his home land against the Persian and American invasions. He and Iraq have nothing to do with the Halabjah incident, and none of the Iraqi officials committed any crime against that town and its people.

Stephen C. Pelletiere, author of ''Iraq and the International Oil System: Why America Went to War in the Persian Gulf'', wrote a brilliant article about Halabjah in which he was not surprised that President Bush lacked even “smoking-gun” evidence of Iraq's falsely alleged possession of weapons of mass destruction.. Mr. Pelletiere revealed to the World that all we know for certain is that Kurds were bombarded with poison gas that day at Halbajah. It cannot be said that Iraqi chemical weapons killed the Kurds. This is not the only distortion in the Halabjah story.

The accusation that Iraq has used chemical weapons against its citizens is a familiar part litany of falsehoods recited by the Bush administration as pretexts for invading Iraq. The piece of hard evidence most frequently brought up concerns the gassing of Iraqi Kurds at the town of Halbajah in March 1988, near the end of the eight-year Iran-Iraq war. President Bush himself has cited Iraq's "gassing its own people," specifically at Halbajah, as a reason to topple Saddam Hussein.

Stephen Pelletiere is in a position to know because, as the Central Intelligence Agency's senior political analyst on Iraq during the Iran-Iraq war, and as a professor at the Army War College from 1988 to 2000, he said I was privy to much of the classified material that flowed through Washington having to do with the Persian Gulf. In addition, he headed a 1991 Army investigation into how the Iraqis would fight a war against the United States; the classified version of the report going into great detail on the Halbajah affair.

Immediately after the battle, the United States Defense Intelligence Agency investigated and produced a classified report, which it circulated within the intelligence community on a need-to-know basis. That study asserted that it was Iranian gas that killed the Kurds, not Iraqi gas or other substances.

The condition of the dead Kurds' bodies, however, indicated they had been killed with a blood agent -- that is, a cyanide-based gas -- which Iran was known to use. The Iraqis, who are thought to have used mustard gas during the course of the hostilities, are not known to have possessed blood agents at the time.

These were some of the facts as stated by Professor Pelletiere that put the lie to what the Bush Administration, the Media and even the “Antiwar Movement” claim. Bush and his Administration lied to the American people and duped America to launch a war of destruction and mass murder against Iraq and its people.

The Arab Ba'ath Socialist Party government built a very advanced country, with many dams and huge irrigation systems that made Iraq self sufficient in agriculture. Petrochemical projects were developed, the healthcare system was the best in the area, and unemployment negligible. Water and electricity reached to furthest points of Iraq. Iraq became the Jewel of the Arab Homeland. Iraq was strong and kept the Imperialists at bay, struggling to achieve and maintain self-determination and promoting the welfare of the people. A united, developed and strong Iraq under the Ba’ath infuriated America and its Zionist allies, prompting the subsequent invasion and occupation. The Ba’ath and Iraq had to be destroyed to facilitate the control of Iraqi wealth and natural resources, particularly oil. Iraqi leaders had to be assassinated under verdicts reached by puppet Kangaroo Courts.

The US agenda for Iraq has burned America and its people. Thousands of Americans have died in this atrocious war and hundreds of thousands have been wounded or maimed for life. AAMB: Resistance fires mortar shells at military base and injures six occupation soldiers

Five mortar shells fell on a military base inside Nahal Oz settlement on November 28, 2008, causing injury to six occupation soldiers. The Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades announced their responsibility for the shelling at a press conference held at the Ramattan news agency in Gaza City on November 29.

The Brigades said at the news conference that they had launched five 80mm mortar rounds at 9 pm Friday at the Nahal Oz military site, causing direct harm to the military site and injury to six occupation soldiers, including one serious casualty. The Briades stated that this resistance operation is part of our natural response to the occupation and its massacres and crimes against our people, and its continued targeting and killing of our people and our fighters.

The Brigades announced at the conference that they had also launched 80mm mortar shells at a military post east of Bureij. They emphasized that no "calm" would prevent the resistance from responding to the crimes of the occupation, and stated that they will not allow the enemy to massacre our people without a response.

Leila Khaled: The entire Palestinian people and Arab nation must unite for the right to return

Comrade Leila Khaled, member of the Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, stated that the achievement of the right of return requires collective work of a united Palestinian people and the entire Arab nation and the full involvement of Palestinians in exile, noting that Arab and international dimensions are key elements in the right of return.

She made these statements at the Arab and International Forum on the Right of Return in Damascus, Syria, on November 25, 2008, noting that the right of return is the key to the resolution of the Palestinian issue, and that without the return, all so-called negotiations and agreements are pointless. She drew particular attention to the Palestinian internal division, stating that this division is like a dagger in the side of our cause and a roadblock in the face of the national project of the Palestinian people.

Comrade Khaled emphasized that the right of return faces serious challenges today, from settlements, closure, isolation, Judaization and Zionisation programs and mass imprisonment and arrests, and called for upholding the resistance that has been proven successful in expelling occupation in Lebanon and throughout the Arab world. She noted that any attempt to destroy our right to return is doomed to failure and that it is our human right and our right under international law, and that conspiracies and programs designed to undermine our rights will indeed fail in the face of popualr mobilization.

Comrade Khaled said that "The Palestinian struggle and the Arab struggle for freedom, despite displacement and settlement projects, will win our right to return, and through unity, struggle and armed resistance we will obtain our rights and all of our rights as Arab people, and our rights as humans, to be free, to return, and to live as free people with self-determination."

Taher: Resistance can defeat Israel

Comrade Dr. Maher al-Taher, member of the Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and leader of its branch outside Palestine, called for Palestinian national unity, demanded an end to useless negotiations with the enemy, and upheld the potential of the resistance to defeat Israel.

Comrade Taher spoke at a forum organized by the Syrian Social Nationalist Party in the Yarmouk refugee camp south of Damascus, marking 76 years of its foundation, on November 25, 2008. He called for all efforts to be exerted to reunify the Palestinian situation, urging that in the face of efforts to destroy the Palestinian cause and undermine Palestinian rights, such work is particularly critical.

Comrade Taher said further that, "We have seen for 15 years what has come from the 'opportunity' of the Authority in the negotiations with the enemy - 11,000 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, including half of the members of the National Council." He called upon the Palestinian leadership, particularly Fateh and Hamas, to place the Palestinian interest above narrow interests.

"The defeat of Israel has become a realistic possibility, especially after the victory of Hezbollah and the Lebanese people in the war in July 2006 and the role of the Iraqi resistance that led to the defeat of Blair, the former British prime minister, and U.S. president Bush." Comrade Taher said.

He further demanded the release of Comrade Ahmad Sa'adat, General Secretary of the PFLP, from Israeli jails, stressing the importance of his leadership and struggle in the Palestinian national cause.

Comrade Ahmad Sa'adat, General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, called upon the Arab countries to break the Israeli siege on our people and open the Rafah crossing.

He also called upon all Palestinian factions and forces to overcome internal division and begin comprehensive national dialogue in earnest, in order to confront the occupation and protect our cause and our people.

Comrade Sa'adat issued these statements during a meeting with attorney Buthaina Duqmaq, president of the Mandela Foundation on November 27, 2008, at Hadarim Prison. He also sent greetings and salutes to our people on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, which is commemorated on November 29, celebrating their determination to endure in the face of continued aggression against Palestinian existence and national identity.

Comrade Sa'adat said, "We pay tribute to the steadfastness of our people in Gaza in the face of the barbaric siege, and at the same time, we salute all of the international and popular Arab solidarity with our people in confronting the siege and demanding an end to the blockade, particularly the efforts to physically break the siege, and all of the parliamentarians who supported this work and expressed their support for our people and their just struggle for independence and freedom."

He called upon Arab foreign ministers and the Arab League to take action to break the siege on our people and to open the Rafah crossing without any conditions upon our people immediately.

Comrade Sa'adat further called upon the leadership of the Palestine Liberation Organization, particularly Mahmoud Abbas, to cease and prevent use of the PLO as a weapon in or to strengthen the internal Palestinian division, which only endangers the role of the PLO as a reference for our people and a framework for unity of our people at home and abroad. He called instead to implement the Cairo agreement of 2005 to rebuild the PLO and bring in all Palestinian forces and hold elections for a new Palestinian National Council that will reinforce and reestablish its position as the sole legitimate representative of our people and as a tool for the maintenance of unity and upholding our national objectives, primarily the right to return, the core of our national cause.

He called upon all Palestinian factions, and particularly Hamas and Fateh, to raise their level of responsibility and overcome all obstacles and work toward national unity, beginning with the release of all political detainees. He emphasized further that it is critical to move away from the state of division and uphold national unity that rejects any external interference in Palestinian affairs.

The Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, shelled the settlement of Sderot on November 20, 2008 at 6:45 am with a developed Sumoud rocket.

AAMB also announced that it, along with the Nasser Salah-a-Din Brigades of the Popular Resistance Committees, launched a developed rocket at occupied Asqelan at 6:40 PM on Wednesday, November 19, 2008. AAMB also shelled the settlement of Kfar Azza with three developed Sumoud rockets at 3 PM on November 19.

On Tuesday, November 18, in a joint operation with the Nasser Salah-a-Din Brigades, AAMB shelled the settlement of Sderot with two developed Sumoud rockets. Earlier on Tuesday, AAMB noted occupation military activity east of Beit Hanoun at 4:15 PM and engaged in clashes with the occupation forces at that time.

On November 17, 2008, AAMB fired a developed Sumoud rocket at the settlement of Sderot at 11:30 PM.

In statements, AAMB emphasized their commitment to continue the resistance and the defense of our people, stressing that resistance is our option to respond to the ongoing crimes of the occupation against our people, and stating that the crimes against our people will be met only by continued and increased resistance.

As the fabric of the world economy begins to unravel, it is clear the victory of the Iraqi Resistance may sound the death knoll for Capitalism and Western Imperialism. In 2003, President Bush, Prime Minister Blair and other Imperialists lauded that their Imperialism would last forever and Iraq would be the first step towards the New World Order they had planned. Now, nearing 2009, the Western economies have come to their worst situation in 70 years, their Imperialist dreams are being shattered and they must scramble to find solutions to their problems.

There is no simple solution to the problems facing the West. Their very economies rest on Imperialist expansion, dominating and controlling other regions of the world. With the Bolivarian movement led by Hugo Chavez and Arab Venezuela, South America has declared its independence from US-Imperialism. US Imperialism and its lackeys are now defeated in Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon and they will meet the same end in Palestine. Capitalism itself has failed the West, for the West to have any future, they must abandon their failed systems.

Imperialism must be abandoned and countries given the chance to develop according to their own desires, they must be given complete and total independence. Capitalism must be abandoned and the people given some of the proceeds of their labour. This crisis is nothing except the inevitable result of Imperialism and Capitalism. As further countries seek independence, it forces the US to act with more force, further sinking itself.

The countries which have avoided this crisis are the Socialist countries of South America alongside Cuba and the Socialist countries of Asia. In 1991, by the will of Allah, the Soviet empire was struck down and collapsed due to its own nature. Communism was not the answer to Capitalism, nor is any system which denies the culture, heritage and some degree of property of the people within it. Socialism is the answer to Capitalism and the only system ensuring fairness as it is the only system which does not use poverty, starvation and other methods as weapons. Despite the claims of the West, history did not end in 1991, but their ignorance has led them to their end.

The Western countries in Europe and the United States must now decide if they want to continue their ways or be destroyed. Europe and the United States must heed their warnings or they will fall as all of the past Empires which sought domination have fallen. They are no more mighty than Pharaoh and their end shall be no different. All countries now stand warned and should adopt Socialism for their own Liberation and all Imperialist powers must cease aggression, for if they do not, a chastisement awaits them.

The Preparatory Committee for the commemoration of the murder of the modern times martyrs' master, leader martyr Saddam Hussein, calls upon all the Iraqi and Arab militants to give and propose their suggestions concerning the celebration of this event, in order to organize them in a unified program celebrated worldwide.

The Preparatory Committee would like to insist, that these celebrations come at a time when the armed Iraqi Resistance is growing, intensifying, strengthening its presence and inflicting the US occupation formidable defeats despite all the wicked ways and means the US occupiers use to conceal and hide their losses. The Iraqi Resistance has achieved a formidable victory over the Occupiers, leading the US towards the brink of collapse, bleeding it to death materially and humanly. This will force the gates wide open to the decisive victory.

Your detailed suggestions concerning this central patriotic event in every country are important so as to go hand in hand with the great successes undertaken by the Baath and the Iraqi Resistance with all its factions in order to defeat the enemy plans and to continue the march on leader Martyr Saddam Hussein's path which is the path of the utter liberation of Iraq to expel the US Occupation.

The Committee suggests the following:

1 - Organize in an Arab or a foreign country a wide popular meeting to celebrate this anniversary.

2 - In case there is no possibility to organize such a meeting, a small gathering of elite will suffice.

3 - Print and distribute prospectuses, brochures and posters in public places or celebrations' premises and halls.

4 - Invite large numbers of political parties and diverse forces, known personalities from every scope... The celebration should be a public patriotic event and not a private partisan.

5 - Insist in the speeches and in the distributed brochures on the unity of the Resistance' factions as the best way towards the liberation of Iraq.

6 - Encourage Arab and Iraqi citizens living in foreign countries to participate in these events in an active way.

Is the Separation of Kurdistan led by Barzani and Hamid Jaffar?

Brothers in Jihad and Resistance, we have enemies in the open and other ones who operate in the shadows and the devious nature of our enemies is what is always to be expected.

The war is to steal the oil; the generals said that, the politicians and even the Zionists. Bremer arrived first and stole billions of dollars in cash. Just as other thieves stole over 130,000 pieces of artifacts, and then came the Kurds, who transported the factories of our armed forces and all the weapons to Persia, all this was witnessed by the Iraqis, readers all around the world, and even the blind!

As for the thieves who destroyed from behind the shadows, they always reach a level where they uncover themselves, when they help occupying forces to achieve their plans, our people and their resistance will reveal his plans, for they are more dangerous than the ones who operate in broad daylight.

If we leave these thieves for a moment, and direct our attention to the Northern provinces, will find the results that were handed over to us by our brothers, in the Iraqi Resistance Information Desk these results reveal the principles followed by the Kurdish militias:

1- The independence of Kurdistan can only occur after the destruction of Iraq by the help of foreign forces.

2- The establishment of greater Kurdistan can only occur after the destruction of Turkey, also by the help of foreign forces.

3- The re-establishment of an Iraqi Arab army is considered a prime danger to Kurdish separatist parties.

4- All previous agreements with governments in Baghdad are considered temporary arrangements. All agreements with the Persians, the English, and the Zionists are to be respected in the short and long-term, even if some stages of implementation is delayed.

But what are the ideals of Iraqis after the occupation has been defeated:

1- Massood Barazani, is like his father. All we have to look at, are the memoirs of his assistant, Mahmoud Othman, on one of his numerous visits to Tel Aviv. He once confirmed that separation is inevitable after the control of Kirkuk, Half of Mosul, Diala, & Even Kut.

2- The US Admin. & the English, created Kurdistan. They have prevented the Turkish army and their government from defending Turkey in preparation to weaken that state. The attacks the Turkish Army is carrying out are purely cosmetic.

3- Kurdistan will never exist as a separate state, unless it was supported economically and by oil by the occupiers.

4- The occupation has found a leading financier who operates in the dark, who aids Barazani implement his plan, a man who was Iraqi, by the name Hamid Dhia Jaffar, a man who operates efficiently, even more than Barzani and the Peshmergas Militia. And he's proud of what he's doing, after he pulled behind him those who are greedy as well as other regional governments, companies and Banks.

What has he done to reinforce separatism? Let us together summarize his actions, planned from the cities Amman, London, and Arbil.

It is known, that he is a close friend of Ayad Allawi, and their meetings before and after the occupation in Amman and London were numerous. After the occupation, he managed to sign a contract to manage Iraq's Ports from Allawi's government. But it was soon canceled after the Persian militias managed to control Basra, and close all of Allawi's offices there.

He managed to convince the government of Norway, to introduce a company by the name DNO oil to sign a contract with the government of Kurdistan, without the approval of the Baghdad government, he then fulfilled his part of the contract by supplying and installing a new Chinese drilling platform, in the return for a share in the gas production, as for the oil that was found in “Towkey” field, that will be divided between Norway and the Kurdish Parties.

The aim is clear, it is setting the first building blocks of separation and the providing of economic and financial power for the separatist regions.

In September of 2005, Hamid Jaffar, signed a contract as “Crescent oil” with the Iraqi oil exploration company to prepare studies regarding the oil fields on the so-called Iraqi Kuwaiti border.

On the 16th April 2007, he signed a major agreement with the president of Kurdistan Neshervan Barazani, with another of his companies Dana Gas, along with its partner Crescent Petroleum, which is managed by his sons Majid and Badr, to develop the gas fields of “Khormoor”, which was closed after the war of 1991, also the field of “Chamchamal”, to provide fuel for Kurdish electricity plants in Arbil and Sulaimaniah. And he guaranteed during a speech, that he will bring companies from the UAE to develop strategic projects in Kurdistan under the initial value of $650 million dollars.

On 22nd of November 2008 this man opened a branch of his Company, Dana Gas in Sulaimaniah.

On the 5th of July 2008, he leased an Antonov transport aircraft to deliver critical gas plant components all the way from Houston in the US to Arbil in Iraq direct.

On the 10th of July 2008, he established a partnership between Crescent oil and a Turkish company called “Turkler” to form a new company by the name “Ingy Gas” which will market exported gas from the north and carry out the exports through Turkish territory.

On the 30th of June 2008, he declared that he received a large part of land from the Kurdistan government sizing up to 46 km² to construct Kurdistan city of gas, an industrial area at the cost of US$3 billion in infrastructure that will attract $40 billion of investments from the UAE and other foreign countries.

During the month of June 2008 he also signed a contract with a company called “Icarus” based in Kuwait for the joint exploration of oil and gas.

On the 20th of July 2008, Hamid and Barzani met and declared that gas production will begin at the end of 2008 with the capacity of 300,000 cubic feet; this will provide electricity stations in Arbil and Sulaimaniah which produce 1250 MW using a pipeline extending 180 km. They also declared that they will construct Kurdistan city of gas worth $500 million in this project will free $2 billion worth of expenses currently used to purchase fuel from areas.

He then went on to declare on 5th of September 2008 that production has started, and to complete the project he has spent $650 million to provide 50,000 tons of equipment on pipelines that were loaded on a total of 2300 trucks that entered Iraq from Turkey.

On the 5th of October 2008, he succeeded in arranging a seminar about Oil, sponsored by the Oil Council of the Emirates of Sharjah in the UAE, which welcomed 12 members of the oil and gas council and the puppet parliament of Iraq and verbal agreements were made, on the dining table of Sharjah’s sheikh, who knows nothing of the true extent of Hamid's Plan.

There are many points we have chosen to leave for now as they are numerous, but after giving you a summary of this man's work in the dark, and his keen ambition to develop multi-billion-dollar oil projects that will lead to separatism and favoritism to Kurdish militia leaders and the occupiers; a man who is no less dangerous than those who came in with the occupiers and made occupation easy, by assisting the occupiers and prolonging their stay without having the enemy treasury bare the cost of this occupation.

The Zionists have built the airport of Arbil with Barzani, and there are cities and camps being built for the American troops and the Resistance knows their positions very well, all these camps require diesel and gas & Hamid Jaffar is providing this with funds from the UAE. How was this possible??

It is impossible for a normal man to become a financial dinosaur in days, it is only possible with the assistance of those who program his moves of American and British advisers, and if this dreamer, along with his partners calculate the profits of stealing Iraq wealth; then do they measure the effect and negative impact of funding the Peshmergas Militia with weapons that divide the North, and killing innocent Iraqis and Mosul and other Provinces ??

What does Rafidan say?

If Hameed seeks wealth, then the income of his publicly liable companies is divided equally amongst the shareholders, unless he is stealing some without them knowing, why then does he risk ruining the reputation of himself and his family?

If this is part of the arrangement with the Americans not to imprison his brother, then we ask is his brother worth three provinces and the lives of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis?

And if he says he is a foreigner, then we must try him as a criminal who plotted the division of Iraq & the killing of its people financially, didn't the allies try the German finance minister for preparing his country's economy for war?

And if he says he is Iraqi, then we should try him as a traitor & numerous times!

And if he says he regrets what he has done, then he must first support the Iraqi resistance financially, and then halt all of his projects & activities in Iraq, and in broad daylight for all to see, and it is very easy for us to confirm that.

Finally, we wish to remind him to explain to us, why he is supporting Barzani and his partners whom he knows well, that they have participated in the occupation of Iraq and the building of US bases, Barazani also supports the signing of a long-term plan for US presence in Iraq. Is it possible that Hamid does not know that the occupation has killed over 1 million Iraqis, created 5 million refugees, orphaned 1 million of our children, and widowed over 1 million of our women?

It is obviously assumed that more will join and that the rest of the Patriotic, Islamic and National resistance will join as well including the rest of the Supreme Command for Jihad and Liberation. This campaign so far looks to combine all elements who have fought against the Occupation and will now stand against the treasonous agreement. The Supreme Command for Jihad and Liberation is known as a group which has always stood against the occupation since the day of its foundation and in its roots before the occupation as the legitimate government of Iraq, there is also the Change and Jihad Front led by the 1920 Revolution Brigades, as well as the Political Council for the Iraqi Resistance, the Army of Imam Ahmed ibn Hanbal and others. While many of these groups may not have agreed on tactics in the past, all of them have fought to end the occupation in whatever ways they saw fit. This Campaign brings all major sections of the Resistance together and so the Occupation cannot last long.

AAMB bombards the occupier with resistance following murderous assault on Gaza

The Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, announced several resistance operations on November 5, 2008, coming on the heels of the occupier's murderous attack upon Gaza.

On November 5, at 5:30 PM, AAMB announced that it fired two developed Sumoud rockets at the settlement of Sderot and the western Naqab. At 10:35 AM, it announced that it fired two developed Sumoud rockets at occupied Asqelan.

At 7:30 AM, AAMB fired two Sumoud rockets at Sderot, and also fired three mortar shells at Kfar Azza at 8:00 AM. With a group of other resistance forces, AAMB fired four 90mm mortar rounds at 10:25 AM at the military site east of the martyrs cemetary in Jabaliya, and fired three developed Sumoud missiles at another military garrison and airstrip at 12:30 PM.

AAMB noted that this is part of the continuing response to the occupiers' crimes against our people and the collective response of the resistance to those crimes, stating that the crimes of the occupier will not pass without punishment and that the resistance will continue as long as the occupation remains on our land. AAMB reiterated that it was in full readiness to repeal any Zionist aggression against our people.

When Iraq was under the Hashemite family rule the country was close to the West, especially with Britain, until the 1958 Revolution took place when Iraq established relation with the Soviet Union. But as soon as the Ba’ath took power in 1963, the relation with the West worsened because Iraq took a more independent path, economically and politically, and in 1972 the Iraq Friendship and Cooperation treaty with the Soviet Union was signed.

Since then the West, and especially the United States, were furious and started creating problems and conspiring against Iraq The preparation for war against Ba'athist Iraq was in the making.

In 1978, Carter placed Iraq on a list of states that supported terrorism. Margaret Thatcher, the British Prime Minister, and her friend President Reagan were fabricating the lies that Iraq was building the largest cannon in the world, capable of shelling Tehran and Tel Aviv. Later on the myth of the super gun took a new form, a new lie, which told that the fabled weapon was designed to fire nuclear, chemical and biological shells at US military targets in the Gulf, Middle East, Red Sea and Mediterranean, as well as targeting Kuwait, Bahrain, Turkey and Israel. This lie was circulated by DEBKA-Net-Weekly. Britain and the US adopted the lies that were spread by DEBKA-Net-Weekly. US and "Israeli" intelligence were taken aback to discover that not one, but three or four super guns, had just turned up in Iraq's arsenal. In reality, the huge special pipes were ordered by Iraq from Britain for a milk factory and for oil pipe lines.

New lies were revived about the myth of the Super gun by DEBEKA WEEKLY on January 2002 to help President Bush invade Iraq for "Israel" and for oil of course, not for "democracy." This was part of the myth of the weapons of mass destruction; the lies were exactly similar to the previous ones.

All US Presidents since Carter were viciously hostile towards Iraq and Palestine. Unfortunately, early indications show that President-elect Barack Obama is following the same pattern as his predecessors. He did not break the wall of fear and isolation; he will keep the American people living in constant fear by illustrating the Arab Liberation Forces in Iraq and Palestine as terrorists and attaching them to the myth of Al Qaeda. Already he is taking the side of the Zionists and "Israel". He will keep anti Palestinian sentiments alive to satisfy the Zionist and Jewish Lobbies. He will continue supporting the "sectarian government of the Green Zone" which his predecessor imported from Iran.

Sooner than most of us expected, he picked Joseph Biden to be his running mate. Biden a devout Zionist and supporter of "Israel", once stated on Shalom TV, "I am a Zionist; you do not have to be a Jew to be a Zionist."

Biden supports splitting Iraq into three states, a Kurdish in the North, a Sunni in the Center and Shia in the South. He supported the invasion and occupation of Iraq and now he will soon be the vice president of the US. He denies the right of the Iraqis for unity, liberation and independence.

Representative Rahm Emanuel, the son of settler colonialist terrorist in usurped Palestine was welcomed by America's Jewish community as US President-elect Barack Obama's best pick for the post of Chief of Staff. Emanuel was born in Jerusalem and was an Israeli citizen until the age of 18. I would not be surprised if he is still a citizen of the Zionist entity because a Jew is allowed to carry dual citizenship, Israeli and another one. In his case, he is an Israeli-US citizen. This prompted many Zionist leaders, in the US and in "Israel" to praise Obama. William Daroff, the director of the Washington office of the United Jewish Communities (UJC), said "Rep. Emanuel is also a good friend of Israel, coming from good Irgun stock" referring to his father who was a member of the Irgun terrorist organization that assassinated and killed Palestinians and British in Mandated Palestine in the thirties and forties.

In his visit to occupied Palestine, Obama stated that Jerusalem should not be divided but should be the eternal capital of "Israel" and like the rest of the previous US Presidents he considers the Palestinians who fight for the liberation of their land as terrorists, Also, he did not hide his agreement with the Zionist leaders by denying the Palestinians the right to return to their land from which they were expelled in 1948. At a press conference on March 2, 2008, Obama stated: "Any negotiated peace between Israelis and the Palestinians is going to have to involve the Palestinians relinquishing the right of return as it has been understood in the past."

If Mr. Obama is serious about ending the war, which I doubt, then he must recognize the Iraqi National Resistance as the legitimate representative of Iraq, and he must agree to the immediate and unconditional withdrawal. He must agree to compensate Iraq for all the damages that the fascist war caused to its people and to its infrastructure. He must disassociate himself and the United States from the sectarian government which was brought from Iran to the "Green Zone." This government is illegal and represents the interests of the Iranian and US Occupations at the same time. All political, prisoners of war and the legitimate Iraqi leadership must be released. These were some of the conditions of the Iraqi National Resistance stated in its Program for Liberation and Independence, and then he can sit down with the Resistance to facilitate the withdrawal of the troops immediately.

The possibility of Obama meeting with the Iraqi National Resistance is about as remote as Adolf Hitler receiving a posthumous award from the B'Nai Brith for humanitarian activities. In November 2005, Obama mentioned the Iraqi Resistance to the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations. He told the group, the U.S. must "contain and ultimately extinguish the insurgency in Iraq."

Sadly, the overwhelming majority of Arab-American votes went to Obama, despite his pandering to Zionist supporters and his many pro-Israel statements during the campaign. In the last poll held prior to the election, 68% of potential Arab-American voters said they would cast their ballots for Obama. They suffer from the suspension of disbelief.

One may ask, "Well, McCain was not pro-Arab, why was it such a mistake to vote for Obama?" The mistake of an Arab-American voting for Obama showed a lack of knowledge of the candidates as well as a certain amount of self-hate. Two candidates, Ralph Nader and Cynthia McKinney, ran fair and astute campaigns. Both called for an immediate exit from Iraq of U.S. troops and both lambasted the Democrats and Republicans for their pro-“Israel” positions. Sure, they were on the ballot as minor parties, but they did not disrespect Arabs and force them to vote against their interests. If Arab-Americans voted en masse for these candidates, they would have sent forth a strong message that their votes should not be taken for granted by two pro-Zionist candidates.

If Mr. Obama does not end the war, the United States will be defeated for sure, occupation always end up with bitter defeat and humiliation, we are witnessing the fall out in the economy and the American people are paying the price

If Mr. Obama ends the war, Americans and Iraqis would be triumphant; progress and security would come to the area and to the rest of the World, including the United States and we will hear no more of "Al Qaeda."

Israel hit by 'rockets from Gaza'

More than 35 rockets have been fired from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel, according to news agency Reuters.

Israeli police reported "massive" rocket fire from the Hamas-governed Palestinian territory on Wednesday morning.

A police spokesman said there were no injuries or damage.

The rocket fire came just hours after six Palestinians were killed in the first clash between Israeli troops and Hamas fighters since a truce was declared in June.

Three other people were injured in the incident late on Tuesday, which involved an Israeli air strike.

Israeli border troops and Hamas fighters fired at each other after the soldiers moved to destroy "a tunnel aimed at abducting soldiers" about 300m inside Gaza.

'Enemy will pay'

During the clashes, Dr Moaiya Hassanain, a Palestinian health ministry official, said one Palestinian - Mazen Seada, a senior Hamas commander in central Gaza - was killed and three were wounded, including a woman.

Shortly afterwards, Hamas said it fired mortars at southern Israel and the army said it launched an air strike at the mortar launchers and hit them.

Hamas radio confirmed that four fighters were killed in the air strike.

Gaza medics said another fighter was killed by a tank shell.

Hamas vowed revenge, saying on its military wing's website that its "response will be harsh, and the enemy will pay a heavy price".

Sami Abu Zuhri, a Hamas spokesman, said the raid proved that Israel was not interested in continuing the ceasefire although he stopped short of saying that Hamas would abandon it.

"The aggression is a major violation of the agreement. If such raids are repeated, fighting will not be limited only to the area east of the central Gaza Strip," Abu Zuhri said.

A senior Israeli military official speaking on condition of anonymity said the tunnel had been dug from inside a Gaza home, illustrating that Hamas was using civilians for cover.

Truce threatened

Both sides claimed they had not violated the Egyptian-mediated truce reached in June after months of indirect negotiations that halted a deadly cycle of Palestinian rocket attacks and Israeli bombardment.

The army said it was acting to remove an immediate threat to Israel while Hamas said it was trying to prevent an Israeli incursion.

Despite the truce, Israel has closed its crossings into the coastal strip of 1.4 million Palestinians and mostly kept the crippling siege it imposed on the area after Hamas forcibly took over the territory from Fatah forces loyal to Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president, in June last year.

Sporadic rocket attacks on southern Israel from Gaza have also persisted in spite of the ceasefire.

Gilad Shalit, an Israeli soldier, was seized near the Gaza Strip by Palestinian fighters who tunnelled across the border in June 2006.

The fighters continue to demand the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners in return for Shalit.

As the results begin to be counted in the Elections for the next President of the United States, we should expect nothing and prepare for the worst.

Despite the eyes of the world being on Barack Obama, and the hopes of his victory, he will still command the allegiance of the Army and forces which currently occupy Iraq. In addition, he will still, like all American Presidents, be inclined to favour the Zionist Entity and oppress our brothers in Palestine. Despite calls for the US to retreat from Iraq, Obama has gone from a 1 year withdrawl plan to a 4 year one. Regardless of what boundaries it may break, Obama is not to be extended the trust of Arabs or Muslims, nor any of the progressive people of the world until the United States has completely retreated from Iraq, until the forces of reaction leave Somalia, until the UN stops pressuring and criminalising Sudan, until the Zionist entity is no more, until the United States allows for full and complete independance amongst nations in the America's and in Africa.

These are the basic obligations the US must fulfill in order to be accepted as ceasing its Imperialist, hegemonic ambitions. The US is not a friend, ally or even a neutral party until all of these are fulfilled, and it would be foolish to think that the next President, regardless of his origins, will be inclined to abandon Imperialism.

BAGHDAD — Every day, a man driving a tanker truck filled with water comes to Nashat al Chamamla's village in southern Iraq, and every day the people line up to fill their jugs and jerry cans.

"The water we buy from the tanker isn't clean. You can see the dirt in it," Chamamla said. "But we drink it anyway."

Violence has dropped dramatically across Iraq in recent months, but the fight for a better life is just beginning. From electricity and health care to education and the economy, Iraq has many needs, and safe drinking water is among the most urgent.

"The water situation in Iraq is a crisis," said Bushra Jabbar al Kinani, an Iraqi lawmaker and a member of the parliament's services and public works committee. "We see the consequences in the health of our people, and they are very bad."

Waterborne diseases such as cholera and typhoid are endemic. A cholera outbreak this summer sickened hundreds in Baghdad and Babil province. Diarrhea is among the leading causes of childhood illness and death in Iraq, according to the Iraqi Red Crescent Organization, a nonprofit aid agency.

"Everywhere there is not clean water there is disease," said Jalil al Shimari, a doctor with Baghdad's health directorate. "We see a steady number of people still getting sick from the water problems."

No one in Nashat al Chamamla's village about 200 miles southeast of Baghdad has running water. Until an enterprising man started showing up with the tanker truck a couple of years ago, everyone drank from the Euphrates River. Most people in the village still use river water to bathe and wash their clothes, and some still drink it.

"I hear it's dangerous," said Chamamla, who's unemployed. "But I haven't been sick from the water yet, so I think it's OK."

Though estimates vary, most say that nearly half of Iraq's people don't have reliable access to safe drinking water. In a national survey that questioned 8,700 people in August, 58 percent said they can get clean water at least some of the time, according to a Defense Department report.

For the rest, every sip is a gamble.

About 40 percent of Iraqi households still don't have running water, according to the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Even before the 2003 U.S.-led invasion, a large portion of Iraq's population lacked access to safe drinking water. The 1991 Gulf War and the sanctions that followed it took a toll on the country's ability to deliver clean water and properly handle sewage. The violence and the widespread looting that accompanied the fall of Saddam Hussein's dictatorship aggravated the problems.

Some families without running water buy it from stores and tanker trucks, but others who are too poor collect it from rivers, canals and wells that often are badly polluted.

In Baghdad, about two-thirds of the city's sewage still flows untreated to rivers and other waterways, said Lt. Col. Jarrett Purdue, the head of the water sector for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Gulf Region Division.

Even for those who have it, running water isn't consistently available, and its safety is questionable.

"People can simply smell the water and know it's bad. I hear this all the time," Kinani said. "And often they turn on the tap and there is nothing."

Haider Hussein, a 35-year-old father of two, said that his house in Baghdad's Sadr City district rarely has water. "Especially in the mornings, you turn on the sink and nothing comes out," he said. "If it does it smells of sewage . . . . I am afraid to give it to my children, but we can't afford bottled water every day."

In Baghdad and outlying provinces alike, water purification plants use inconsistent and often ineffective methods, said Dorothea Krimitsas, a spokeswoman for the ICRC, which is working to improve clean water delivery in Iraq.

"Sometimes it's a lack of expertise in the people staffing the plants and sometimes it's a lack of chemicals and equipment," Krimitsas said. "But whatever the reasons, we know steps do get missed."

Contamination after water leaves purification plants is a bigger problem, she said. Pipes across Iraq have been damaged by the war. Others have gone years without maintenance. That's especially dangerous in the many areas of Iraq that also lack operational sewage lines.

"When you literally have sewage flowing down the streets and the pipes for the clean water are broken, it's easy to imagine how it all ends up mixing back together," Krimitsas said.

Muslim Khalaf, a 38-year-old English teacher from Basra, won't let his four children drink water from their faucets. Instead, he drives two or three times a day to a nearby shop to fill an empty water can.

"We know the pipes are all broken, and we know sewage gets in," Khalaf said. "We are fortunate that we can afford to buy something safer."

International aid organizations, the U.S. and the Iraqi government are all working to improve clean water delivery. Since 2003, the U.S. has spent about $2.4 billion on water projects here, according to an October report by the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction.

Most of that has gone to building and repairing pipe networks, water purification plants and sewage pumping and treatment stations. The U.S. also has launched programs to train plant operators and develop the Iraqi government's capacity to manage its own water projects, said Purdue, the Army Corps official.

"We've definitely come a long, long way," he said. "Millions of people here have water who didn't have it before."

But there's a long way to go, too.

Most estimates put the total cost of delivering clean water across Iraq at more than $10 billion, and that number goes up every time insurgents target pipelines, pumping stations and other facilities. This week, a homemade bomb broke a water main in Baghdad's Adhamiyah neighborhood, cutting service to hundreds of thousands of people, the U.S. military said.

Kinani, the Iraqi lawmaker, said that progress also has been slowed by corruption and incompetence in Iraqi government ministries.

"They don't understand the significance of the problem because they don't go out to meet the people and see the suffering," Kinani said. "This is unfortunate, because the suffering is everywhere."

Dr. al Dhari said in an interview with al Haq Agency: “the AMSI has adopted a fatwa prohibiting the Status of Forces Agreement (Security Agreement) because; first, its origin is baseless, it is agreement between strong and weak, between the occupier and the representatives of the occupied people, destroyed by the occupying power, because so-called representatives do indeed not represent legitimately the Iraqi people; in contrast they were elected through fraudulent and counterfeit elections formed and supervised by the occupation.”

His Eminence Dr. Hareth al Dhari added that: “the occupiers will leave, therefore we consider the approval of this agreement and signature on it by any party will be considered as treason and illegal because this agreement is coercive and humiliating.”

There is One Islam and There are No Sects

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

This comes as a partial response to the "Letter of Warning to All Shia" from the Salafi-Jihadist Youth of Gaza and to all who create strife, Sunni or Shia and those who seek to harm and repress our Christian brothers.

There is a single Islam, for Allah states:

And hold fast, all together, by the Rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah's favour on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace, ye became brethren; and ye were on the brink of the Pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus doth Allah make His Signs clear to you: that ye may be guided. (Al-i-Imran: 103)

All other religions have broken into sects, but Allah warns of sects and their division and wrongdoings saying:

As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, thou hast no part in them in the least: their affair is with Allah: He will in the end tell them the truth of all that they did. (Al-An'am: 153)

For as sects break and attack each other, they seperate from the religion as a whole and the path of Allah:

But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself. (Al-Muminun: 53)

Therefore, no man should question another man as to his intentions, lest the acts of this man constitute clear treason and upon which the accuser brings steady proof.

What good does it do to condemn and fight amongst ourselves when the Crusaders and Zionists still occupy our soil?

In Iraq, as in Palestine, there are those who fight the enemy and do not bicker or differentiate between the supposed 'sects' of Islam, there are those righteous Christians who fight alongside their Arab brothers for the liberation of the homeland from the invaders and occupiers.

For Allah assures all that:

Those who believe (in the Qur-an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians, any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. (Al-Baqarah: 62)

The enemy of Islam and Arabs is not themselves, it is not other Muslims or other Arabs; the enemy of Islam and Arabs is the enemy who does not walk among us, rather he walks upon us. It is the Crusaders who invade Iraq, who send from every coffer their aid to the Zionist entity, who has their vassals invade Somalia, who seeks to conquer and subjugate the entire Ummah. This enemy must be fought and takes priority.

Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors. (Al-Baqarah: 190)

Let those fight in the cause of Allah who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter, To him who fighteth in the cause of Allah - whether he is slain or gets victory - soon shall We give him a reward of great (value). (An-Nisaa: 74)

The Holy Jihad for the liberation of Muslim and Arab lands is not a cause to be fought against those who take up the sword against the Crusaders and Zionists, the Holy Jihad is solely against the Crusaders and Zionists and let all come to fight in the cause of Allah; whether Sunni, Shia or Christian.

And to those, Sunni, Shia or Christian who seek to create strife; your work serves the cause of the Crusaders and it is only Fitna which you produce. Let all Muslims be united by the Shahadah: "“La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammadu Rasul Allah”, and let no Christian fear persecution, for all are united by the Message of Allah and by the Prophets (pbut) and by Arabism.

Let all who are righteous and do good deeds by the way of Allah and seek to protect Muslim and Arab lands stand united today against our single foe: The Crusader-Zionist alliance.

We are often told, that the British presence in Iraq is to help bring about “freedom” and “democracy” to assist the fundamentalist Iranian aligned “Iraqi Government“ bring about “stability“ but these brave words are spoken only by politicians whose only action witnessed inside of occupied Mesopotamia, is cowering like cowards behind the backs of soldiers.

Recently speaking to a Sergeant in the British army, he informed me that he was going to be sent back to Iraq, to continue action in a war which has already killed over one million Iraqi’s and hundreds of British soldiers, but like a growing trend among soldiers and their families, it is becoming increasingly hard to find many who actually wish to be there or any who know the reasons why they are still on Iraqi soil.

The Sergeant informed me that he had no wish to serve a third term in Iraq and wondered why the British Government continued to keep troops there, when it was blatantly obvious that the continuing presence was not wanted and the present Green Zone regime seemed to be incapable of bringing about any type of civil order to the country, as he said “all you have to do is look around” to see that “freedom and democracy” simply do not work inside of Iraq.

In a recent interview with one newspaper, Nouri Al-Maliki said that the British are “not necessary for maintaining security and control,” in Iraq but then claimed that "There might be a need for their experience in training and some technological issues,” which to many soldiers and their families is Maliki biting the hand that feeds him, but with the devastation which the occupation has brought to the people of Iraq, it is obvious that no one can have any confidence in the regime of Nouri Al-Maliki.

This perspective would not come as a shock for realists outside of Downing Street, who have been oblivious to the five million child orphans inside of Iraq and appear to have even gone so far as to pander to sectarian death squads, by allowing representatives such as one for Muqtada Al-Sadr to enter into Britain and even speak on public platforms at one Stop the War Coalition rally.

But then again, a growing anger is mounting, as many in Britain view the silence of the Brown Government and their desire to maintain a presence of British soldiers in Iraq, as also playing a role which is standing back while ethnic cleansing is taking place, such as that against the Christians, who have witnessed a never ending stream of violent attacks since the occupation began in 2003.

If the British media was to be believed, you wouldn’t even know that a child had been crucified, or that priests are being kidnapped, beheaded, along with women being forced into wearing the veil, raped and claims that businesses owned by Christians are being made the targets of extremists, in an attempt to force them to flee Iraq. Even US soldiers have noted their concern over the persecution of Christians in Iraq, that one serving soldier even wrote in response to my article “The War Against Christianity“, that “I know from experience that what he (Hussein al-alak) says about what's going on in Iraq is accurate.”

How can either the British or Iraqi regimes be treated with any credibility, when the talk of “progress” is constantly being discredited by facts, when Asia News reported recently that “a Christian of the Chaldean rite, was recently shot dead in front of his home in the neighbourhood of Nor, the same neighbourhood where Fr. Ragweed Gani and three deacons were killed in 2007, and where Archbishop Paulo Farj Rahho was kidnapped and killed” only this year.

The threats against the community and the inability of either the Iraqi government or occupation forces to protect them have become so dire, that the Christians of Iraq have been forced to establish their own “militia“, so “armed with heavy machine guns and assault rifles,” according to one member, who spoke to Islam Online in August , such a move "was the only way to protect our families and friends from attacks because we are tired of waiting on action from the “Iraqi” government which is preoccupied with politics and never look after us."

Reasons why the Iraqi Government have chosen to ignore the plight, which must be added never occurred under the government of Saddam Hussain, is because the British and American “trained” Police force have decided to turn a blind eye, as one senior Police Office even admitted, "Sometimes it is better to close your eyes towards some facts” but Iraqi’s are not closing their eyes and are uniting with Iraq’s Christians against this ethnic cleansing.

In a recent appeal, the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq stated that attacking Christians is “not approved by Islam and its tolerant teachings under which Muslims and other religions lived in tolerance, peace and security”, such as before the occupation began but also warned that such attacks were “inconsistent with the requirements of true national unity” and urged Iraq’s “Christian citizens to not weaken their moral and national position” in bringing about an end to these hostilities.

These sentiments were also echoed by a school teacher, who speaking to Islam Online earlier this year stated, "During the years we lived in peace in this land where I was born. All Muslims were happy to be part of our lives, share our thoughts and respect our decisions," which is the common experience for the majority of people from before 2003.

As a child, born and raised in what would now be called a “Shi’ite family”, like many Iraqi children, we never questioned the religion or ethnicity of our friends and family and it was considered to be discourteous to even ask and now, the Quisling Maliki and his occupation masters expect us to believe that Iraq is built along ethnic or sect lines, lines drawn up by himself and the US/UK and expect us to stand back while our neighbours are ethnically cleansed from our country. So hear this, “an injury to one, is an injury to us all!”

End Game for Colonialism in Arabia

As we steadily approach the end of 2008, we approach also the end of Colonialism and Imperialism in Arabia.

For the past 60 years, the main centre of Colonialism and Imperialism in Arabia was Palestine, occupied by Zionist settlers. By 1991, Iraq became the new target for Imperialism and Somalia was added as well. With the Invasion of Somalia by US-proxy state Ethiopia and the Invasion of Iraq in 2003 by the US and its 'Coalition', some Western observers hoped and prayed that a new day had arrived, when Arabs would happily submit to Western-governance and Imperialism. This dream which started in the heads of the British and French Imperialists turned into a nightmare for them, as it now has for the United States.

The liberation of Kismayo and several battles in Mogadishu have indicated that the Young Mujahideen Movement and the Alliance for the Re-Liberation of Somalia will achieve total victory. Similarly, the salvos of the liberation of Baghdad already ring as Northern Baghdad swings towards the Supreme Command for Jihad and Liberation. The struggling of the Zionists and their sudden drive to hand over the West Bank is only indicative of their fears that a growing Arab population will soon take over their Zionist-state.

At this time, there is no need for compromise, victory is at-hand. Within 5 years, Somalia and Iraq will be entirely liberated, it is likely that the Zionists will still be struggling to convince their extremist-populace of the virtues of retreating from the West Bank and perhaps, the US economy will be in an even further state of collapse.

It is now time to begin the plans for the Post-Imperialist Arabia; where the dream of Arab Unity can become a reality. There is much in the attitudes of citizens and rulers which needs to change, and this change starts from the ground-up. The League of Arab States must change from a once-a-year meeting spot to the foundation of a single Arab State. As Arabia strengthens and moves closer to reunification, it is with little doubt that more nations will wish to join Arabia as well and this is the only possible destiny for Arabs, as the creators and vanguards of civilization.

Path to Victory in Iraq?

Is Bush on the path to victory in Iraq?

In a word: no. That’s simple enough. The whole world can see the occupation’s days are numbered. But it’s not enough to know the government’s cause is unjust or that the occupation is failing. We need to understand why.

The causes for the failure can be summed up simply:

1. To achieve "victory" the occupation needs a political process to rule over Iraq.

2. The Green Zone political process, the puppet government set up by the occupation authorities, is a failure.

3. Therefore, the war will end in defeat for the United States, and in victory for the people of Iraq.

I. Why the occupation needs a puppet government

The origins of the current U.S. aggression against Iraq reside in two landmark events. The first was the 1958 revolution that swept the British-supported monarchy from power and established Iraqi independence and political sovereignty. Fourteen years later, the Baath Party nationalized the country’s oil, which ended the domination of Big Oil in Iraq. That laid the foundation for Iraq’s economic sovereignty.

Sovereignty is intolerable for imperialism, because imperialism seeks domination, not freedom. Iraq had both political and economic independence. It had the means and the political will to chart an independent course. It therefore presented an obstacle to imperialism’s plans for dominating the political and economic life of the Middle East.

From this we can determine the principal goals of the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq. First, to uproot the anti-imperialist Iraqi government and replace it with a puppet regime that would be friendly towards a U.S. military, economic and political presence in Iraq; and second, to hand over control of Iraqi oil to U.S. oil corporations

With these two aims, U.S. imperialism hoped to gain geopolitical power over the Middle East, and by extension, over the world. And of course, they sought to make trillions of dollars in revenues from oil production and export in the process.

Now to do all this meant that the U.S. would have to come up with a way to rule over Iraq and its people. The U.S. cannot indefinitely maintain its military presence in Iraq. For one, it simply doesn’t have the numerical strength or political will to continue at its current level. More importantly, the occupation forces are hated by the broad masses of Iraqis, who quite rightly want them out now.

Therefore, the U.S. was tasked with coming up with an "Iraqi face" for a political process that would pursue the same goals of domination and control long after the withdrawal of combat forces. This is called neo-colonialism. As Harith Al-Dari of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq wrote, "The occupiers could get out from the door by the effect of jihad and resistance, but enter from the window by the effect of those whom are assigned to administrate the country".

II. The puppet government is a failure

At first the U.S. appointed "viceroy" Paul Bremer and the Coalition Provisional Authority to govern Iraq directly. That was a colonialism of the old type, and Iraqis soundly rejected it. Four months later Bremer created a CPA-appointed "Iraqi Interim Governing Council", to give an Iraqi face to the occupation process. This too was rejected. Finally in 2005, the current Green Zone government was established. Has this government succeeded?

For it to be considered a success by the occupation, the puppet government has to be able to rule, and it has to serve the aims of U.S. imperialism outlined above. By these criteria the current Green Zone government has failed.

Of course the principle reason for its failure is the growth and development of a massive tide of armed resistance to the occupation. But an important secondary reason is the nature of the puppet government itself.

The Iraqi puppet government is composed of political parties and personalities who quite literally rode to power on the back of invading American tanks. Trained and groomed in exile, many of the prominent personalities lived abroad in places like London, Washington, or New York. Prior to 2003, many of them had not set foot in Iraq since the 1970’s or 80’s. Thus they lack any kind of popular base. Without the support of the U.S. military, their governing power would collapse.

Further, these parties are constantly at war with each other. On occasion, they are able to come together to adopt this or that resolution. But the general rule is that each party is out for its own, narrow (ethnic or religious) interests. It’s also worth pointing out that some of these parties – such as the Dawa and Supreme Islamic Council parties – were trained and rooted in Iran, and therefore brought another contradiction internal to the puppet government. For now the U.S. has to contend with another puppet master pulling on the strings.

The result of these internal weaknesses: the puppet government is barely able to extend its rule outside the perimeter of the Green Zone, a tiny, walled-off area in the heart of Baghdad.

It failed to unite the various collaborating parties over the fate of Kirkuk, a city of enormous importance due to its proximity to some of the largest oil fields in Iraq.

It failed to pass a hydrocarbon law that would spell out terms for distributing oil revenues. Without this law, there is no legal basis for inviting the oil giants back into Iraq to develop the fields.

It failed even to negotiate the continued presence of U.S. troops on Iraqi soil, the sole guarantor of its security. The main reason is that masses of Iraqis are adamantly opposed to a formal treaty that would so openly sign away Iraq’s sovereignty.

Finally, it is failing in the task of reconciling the Sahwa, or Awakening Councils, with its own security services. The Awakening Councils are about 100,000 strong, about 80% of the fighters are Sunni Arabs. The sectarian government in the Green Zone has vowed to exclude them from the security forces, because their inclusion would weaken the sectarian parties’ grip over the army and police.

These are a few of the problems that collaborating politicians wrestle over in the 4 square mile bunker known as the Green Zone. What about the day-to-day realities for the ordinary people of Iraq?

In the three years that the puppet government has ruled over Iraq, the social and economic conditions faced by Iraqis have been crushing. The infrastructure of Iraq remains a disaster. Electricity averages around 11 hours a day, and in some neighborhoods of Baghdad, 2 hours per day is the norm. Most Iraqis lack access to safe drinking water or proper sanitation facilities. Unemployment and under-employment is at 55-60%. 2,000 doctors have been killed since 2003. 20,000 have left the country. Hospitals are understaffed and lack critical supplies. Oil production, virtually the only productive sector in the Iraqi economy, still has not surpassed pre-war, sanctions-era levels of 2.5 million barrels per day. And if one subtracts oil production from the picture, then the economy is stagnant, with a growth of only 0.4% over the past year. Iraqi industry and agriculture is a shambles. Corruption runs rampant through the puppet government, which was ranked 178 out of 180 countries in level of corruption for 2007 by the Corruption Perceptions Index.

Finally the humanitarian impact is difficult to contemplate. The occupation has created an enormous population of refugees. At least 2.7 million Iraqis are internally displaced, while 2.4 million have fled the country. This is almost one in every five Iraqis. The same percentage also know someone directly who has been killed or wounded. Over 1.2 million Iraqis have been killed, with hundreds of thousands more maimed. Lest anyone think this is the result of sectarian violence and not U.S. aggression: back in 2006, when Iraqi deaths numbered about 655,000, a study that appeared in The Lancet demonstrated that U.S. military forces were directly responsible for at least 346,000 Iraqi deaths.

This is the daily reality that Iraqis face. Given this reality, it is hard to believe, as we are so often told by the media, that "the situation is improving" and that, therefore, Iraqis would welcome the continued presence of occupiers on their territory.

III. The war will end with the victory of the resistance

The Iraqi resistance remains the main obstacle to the U.S. consolidating its control over Iraq through a puppet government. Following a decline in activity over the summer, the past four months have seen a consistent average of about 40 resistance attacks each day against U.S. occupation forces and the puppet government. That translates to between 280 and 300 attacks per week, or between 1100 and 1200 per month. (Assuming that these numbers are not deflated to provide a better picture of 'security’ during the election season) On a political level, the resistance is increasingly unified, with dozens of resistance groups merging into a handful of large organizations, such as the Supreme Command for Jihad and Liberation, the Patriotic, Nationaland Islamic Front for the Liberation of Iraq and the Political Council of the Iraqi Resistance.

If the occupiers are unable to solve the problems that appear before them, it is because at root, it is the occupation that creates the problems. A sovereign government cannot emerge while under the boot of 150,000 foreign combat troops and 200,000 foreign mercenaries. Genuine reconstruction efforts cannot take place while counter-insurgency operations constantly devastate Iraqi infrastructure. National unity and national reconciliation will never emerge from the framework of a sectarian political process that was designed to pit ethnic and religious groups against another. And so on.

We know that at each stage of the war, the U.S. occupation has responded to failure with intensified warfare. There is no reason to think otherwise of the current situation. In any case, it is certain that as long as the occupation exists, there will be resistance. We should not forget that Iraq has a long history of successfully resisting and defeating imperialism. Much of what is happening now has been attempted before, and like the efforts of past occupiers and aggressors, those efforts are destined to fail.

The Iraqis have nowhere else to go. It is only with the victory of the Iraqi people’s national resistance that the war will end. It is the unity of our resistance at home and the resistance in Iraq that will bring about the end of the occupation, and the starting point for building a world with peace, justice and equality. Now is the time to intensify our antiwar organizing and to raise the just demands of support for the Iraqi liberation movement and to end the occupation now.

How do we understand Baath Socialism? Is it different from Socialism-Communism? If the answer is yes, another question arises: Where and how do we differ? Before answering these questions it becomes necessary to determine the meaning of Socialism, as it has been oft-attacked by religious movements in general.

The essence of Socialism is proposing solutions to the social problems that bedevil society, in particular, poverty resulting from sharp class differences and the consequences of poverty such as lethal diseases, illiteracy, corruption etc. all of which cause social conflicts. Socialism is the system which removes the basis of poverty and provisions basic human needs such as bread, education, medicine and other services essential to the human body for free, and for the end of social-ills.

So the Socialist State with a social responsibility to provide basic human needs in order to liberate it from all constraints on his creativity and social action and remove the evils caused by deprivation and class disparities. Thererefore, it is humane and ethical at the same time to return to his humanity and preserve human dignity and provide a proper climate, free from corruption and all diseases created by poverty, either directly or indirectly.

The key question here is whether all divine religion rejects Socialism and the desire to build social justice and remove injustice? The answer all too often depends on the stereotype set by Western circles on the basis of the Communist model of Socialism. What are these stereotypes of Socialism which have been accepted by many religious parties without scrutiny? The first manifestation of the stereotype is the image of Socialism combined with the dialectical materialist universal-philosophy of Communism which deployed with the saying "religion is the opiate of the masses"! The second stereotype is that Socialism is a system which eliminated all individual property rights and deprives ownership. Last, but not least is the stereotypical image of Socialism as beyond all national boundaries.

Are these stereotypes true Socialism? Let us deal with Baath Socialism to see how this image is unfair and incorrect.

There are three fundamental differences between the Socialism of the Socialist Baath and Marxism-Leninism, a philosophical difference (religious), disagreement over ownership and differences over national interests.

Many have tries to force links, falsesly and unjustified between the philosophical outlooks of Marxism-Leninism and their controversial materialism which denies the existence of Allah and promises religion is the opium of the people. We have dealt with historical materialism, the social philosophy of Marxism-Leninism and Socialism in terms of social history. The Baath says the continued social evils relate from class differences, however, we support Socialism from the standpoint of social justice as a religious requirement, because Allah created human beings and did not create differences of class, placing all humanity equal in value.

One manifestation of Socialism within Islam is the wealth of experiance of the Khalifahs, where wealth was divided equally amongst Muslims and there was no difference between an ordinary citizen and the Khalifah. A story of the Khalifah Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) tells of how he referred to the main source of evil in society as poverty. The Baath rejects Communist atheistic thought and asserts Socialist faith which is consistant with the teachings of Islam.

Another advantage of the Socialist Baath is that she has never denied ownership at all, but has denied ownership of an exploitive nature. In this sense, Baath Socialism reconciles between the responsibilities of public ownership to ensure justice for society and its production and services and individual property that meets the need of the natural person to own property which is one of the most important incentives for work, production and creativity in humans. To prevent individual property rights leads to inaction and the deterioration of personal creativity and weakens and disrupts the incentive to work, this is one of the most important reasons for the failure and degradation of Communism.

Last but not least, the Baath rejects Communism and it's jump over the nation for 'universality'. How can it be that even the UN was based or built? One must first have complete national unity before any sort of broader thinking unity. You cannot have the higher without the lower.

Baath Socialism is the system of social rules to provide a proper environment for the complete rights of spiritual activities without concern or pressure from financial need or a threat to human needs. A system which opens the way for individual economic activity because it is a creative catalyst for producton and compliments the role of the state in providing goods and services. Certainly, Islam is the source of the foundation of Baath Socialism, all must understand Islam correctly, so they may reach the conclusion that it is true Islam as a faith which contains Socialism.

This proves the US-Zionist plot to use Iraq as a base for expanding the assault on Arabism. All support must be given to Syria and all Arab countries resisting US-Zionist aggression. As the Zionists struggle after a defeat in Lebanon and a new upsurge in resistance in Palestine; the US-Zionist alliance is now trying a last effort to turn Iraq into an Imperialist staging ground for assaulting Arabism.

The formidable deeds of the Mujahid Iraqi Resistance against the US occupation from its very first day and until today, are the unshakable foundation to expose and unmask the plans and the objectives of the US-Zionist-pagan Persian alliance and to wreck their projects. The continuous and unabated Jihadi operations of the heroic Resistance were the key to abort these plans and kill them in their eggs.. so was its ability to divulge and wreck the CIA created "political process", a US occupiers' servile tool to put into practice their wicked plans..These glorious deeds of the Resistance led to dismantle and to disperse the sectarian and ethnic political entities of this 'political process' isolating it from their popular basis which led to an in fight between these tottering entities and even in between the same entity. We can witness the squabbling and the infighting between many puppet parties and the rejection of the (Kordistani Alliance Parties) as an oppressive entity which persecute our Kurdish people sons and daughters.

The US' occupiers profited from this miserable state of affairs to create one crisis after the other in order to piece and dismember Iraq such as (Kirkuk' crisis), Khaniqin's and (the districts councils elections crisis) and many more!

The Occupiers and their stooges wanted these crisis to be a tragic game to divert the Iraqi people attention from lacking the human basic conditions such as electricity, water, and fuel.. The Iraqi people, under the US occupiers has become a prey for diseases like Cholera which struck many numbers of Iraqi citizens due to the water' pollution and the impotency of the inept lazy puppet government which is behind all these disasters, incapable of providing the bare human conditions for the citizens.. Rather! this government is mired to the neck in the management and financial corrupt practices, looting Iraq oil wealth and its state' money, this government, helped by the occupiers and obeying their orders, undertook the most horrendous massacres and genocide unprecedented in history, against the dignified Iraqi people.

In these hard circumstances created by the debased occupiers and by their servile tails, criminal Bush administration tries to cover up its resounding defeat in Iraq and camouflage its killer failure through Criminal Bush declaring the withdrawal of some of his forces based to what he calls' the fragile security improvement', while Gates' declares, in his latest visit to Iraq the day before replacing Petraeus with Odierno as the new Commander of the US occupation forces in Iraq.. "the end game and the end of his war against Iraq" in order to concentrate on "Afghanistan war". This is a blatant recognition of defeat and failure thanks to the deeds of the heroic Resistance, which are forcing them to withdraw and leave Iraq.

Following these declarations, feverish US attempts to sign the servility or (SOFA) agreement were made public, plus the lies about the supposed differences between the puppet government and its US master, in order to polish the stooge Maliki hideous face and its puppet government, to desperately preempt the declaration of the resounding defeat before the end of criminal Bush days after November US' elections.

Conference Asks: Which Way to Peace in Iraq?

A program titled "Which Way to Peace in Iraq?" was presented in Newark, NJ on October 18, 2008. The program looked at two possible answers: the victory of the occupation or the victory of the Iraqi national resistance. The significance of the impending presidential election was also discussed.

All speakers agreed that the struggle of the Iraqi people through their national resistance is the main force to end the war and the occupation. The struggle of the people in the United States to end the war and the occupation is also necessary.

Many topics were presented in the speakers' program. In order to show the need for more people's education about the war copies of a blank map of the Middle East were passed out. Participants were asked to find Iraq, and to name other countries on the map. Few could name more than one or two countries. The audience got the point that much more education is needed to help people understand the war.

War was characterized as politics with bloodshed. Iraq has oil, something that Bush wants. The invasion of Iraq was just the way US politics usually operates but this time with bloodshed. It was schoolyard bully tactics at an international level. The solution to the aggression is the struggle of the Iraqi people to end the occupation, just as the answer to racist oppression in the United States is the people's struggle.

Another speaker said the war began not in 2003 but in 1991. It started because Iraq was a country that had taken control of its own destiny. It had a government that was accepted by the people as legitimate. The Iraqi Revolution of 1958 ended British domination of the country and established political independence. In 1972 Iraq nationalized its own oil. That established economic independence and full sovereignty. Imperialism attacked Iraq to destroy its sovereignty and return control to the oil companies that were there in 1972.

He said the occupation needs a puppet government to run Iraq. The US cannot leave 150,000 soldiers there indefinitely. The puppet only governs the Green Zone, a few square miles in Baghdad. It is only a patchwork of sectarian and ethnic parties.

They are in constant rivalry with each other. They cannot agree on sharing the country's oil wealth. They cannot agree on who gets what territory. They cannot restore the economy. Over a million Iraqis are dead because of the occupation. Many millions more have been driven from their homes. Bush is not on the path to victory as he claims. There is no way he can get there.

A speaker said the Iraqi resistance is in good shape. More than forty groups have joined behind the Supreme Command for Jihad and Liberation. Two other important liberation fronts are in communication with it. They all coordinate their operations. The Iraqi resistance is not responsible for atrocities against civilians. Sectarian groups and occupation agents are responsible instead. Al Qaeda does not play a large part. It is sectarian and has harmed the resistance.

Military attacks on the occupation remain at a high level. However, it is the puppet armed forces that take the brunt. US armed forces have mostly stayed out of combat, which is the real reason US casualties are lower.

A speaker said the outcome of the election will not determine whether or not the war ends soon. What will determine the end of the war is first, the resistance of the people in Iraq, and second the resistance of the people in the United States.

There are a number of third parties running candidates on excellent platforms. They have been shut out of the presidential debates, which are run by representatives of the Republicans and Democrats. Since the end of World War II the United States has moved in a very deliberate way to shut out third parties.

Nonetheless the majority of voters are non-affiliated. Only a few new people check a party affiliation. He asked the question of who speaks for these voters.

He said it is clear that McCain would not just be a continuation of Bush foreign policy, he would be worse. He would escalate the war in Afghanistan and is willing to attack Iran.

Obama is a more interesting candidate because he would likely be more subject to public pressure. He opposed the war in the past but he has also voted for bills that would fund the war three and four fiscal years into the future. He says he wants to end the war in Iraq but is willing to send troops into Pakistan and escalate the number of troops in Afghanistan.

The speaker predicted an overwhelming turnout on Nov. 4 and said he thinks Obama will win. He asked the question of what we have to do after Nov. 4. To the applause of the mostly African-American audience, he said that we will treat Obama just like any other president.

As soon as possible we must have a large demonstration against the occupations, against escalation in Afghanistan, in support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan, and against any war with Iran.

We must also move to implement resolutions of previous antiwar conferences. He said he found in heartbreaking and gut-wrenching that Bush and Cheney would be allowed to walk away from the crimes they have committed. He said that they should be not only be impeached but they should be prosecuted for their crimes. He said people should call members of the New Jersey Congressional delegation and demand they co-sponsor the 35 articles of impeachment introduced by Congressman Dennis Kucinic. What do we do with criminals, he asked: we put them in jail.

Because of time limitations workshop discussions had to be cut short. Each of the presenters gave a brief account of their topics to the body. These were: "Imperialism and the Middle East;" "The Significance of Iraq in the World Struggle Against Imperialism;" "Violence in Iraq and Violence in Our Streets;" and, "The Status of Forces Agreement and the Real US Intentions in Iraq.'

It was said that at this time the Iraqi resistance is the force that has done the most to oppose and destroy the main enemy of the people of the world, imperialism. It has done more than any other force to defeat the Bush regime. The antiwar movement must uphold and support the Iraqi resistance.

When the audience at last got its chance at participation its enthusiasm for struggle burst out. It turned into a working session on how to advance the struggle to end the war. Several participants said they had never before been to a conference that fully supported the Iraqi resistance. It was asked what could be done to raise the issue elsewhere.

A program of seven resolutions to lay out future work was adopted by acclamation. The resolutions are:

Whereas the US occupation of Iraq is unjust and its continuation harmful to the vast majority of people in all countries; therefore be it resolved that the body demands:

1. The occupation of Iraq must be ended immediately and all occupation troops be brought home.

2. Today's activity recognizes previous and ongoing activities of the people toward these ends and is a continuation of them.

3. The United States must commit to completely and unconditionally withdraw from Iraq, and open discussions with leaders of the Iraqi national resistance to arrange the timetable and logistics of its withdrawal.

4. That there be no expansion of aggression in new wars; moreover the body commits to efforts to build people's opposition to new and expanded wars.

5. We will organize a large demonstration to demand the immediate end of the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan; rigorous respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan; and that there be no aggression against Iran.

6. All members of the NJ Congressional delegation must sign on to the 35 articles of impeachment introduced by Rep. Dennis Kucinic.

7. George W. Bush and other members of his administration must be prosecuted for the crimes of aggressive war and other crimes against humanity that they have committed.

A statement concerning our people' sons and daughters from amongst the Christians who are being chased from their homes in Mosul

Our persevering people!

The US occupiers, their allies and their created tools plan to destroy Iraq as a people, as a land and as a civilization. Having ferociously attacked its state, raped its soil, declaring their ill famed decisions such as (uprooting the Baath), disbanding the heroic Iraqi army, they want now to destroy the social fabric of the Iraqi people through their evil plan.

Hence, the US occupier undertook mass murder and genocide against the Iraqi people, exciting sectarian and ethnic strife, fomenting and encouraging even the inter killing in between the same community as it happened in Basra, Mayssan, Baghdad, Al Anbar, Nineveh and other districts of Iraq..This dirty job was handed to the Occupiers' puppets belonging to the stooges' political parties (Shia and Sunni) and the two collaborators Kurdish Parties (the Democratic Kurdistani and the Nationalistic Kurdistani parties). Today these same filthy tools target Christians from the sons and daughters of our people in the city of Mosul through criminal mass murder, forcing thousands of Christian families to flee their homes and chasing them away outside the city of Mosul.

No doubt! All this, come as a result of the suspicious plan imposed by those participants in the political process, i.e.the stooges and the traitors who are behind sectarian, ethnic, and religious civil strives conducting even artificial internal wars which led, added to the victims of the occupiers' crimes, to more than one and half million Iraqis death, in the name of the (democracy) of the US' murder and slaughter and in the name of the monstrous (constitution) used to legitimize the ethnic and sectarian piecing and division.. tearing down even further, the strong, united, and plural social fabric of the Iraqi people.. They invented sectarian, racist and ethnic bizarre and strange names and terms such as ( the sectarian and minorities' components) while exchanging debased insults in between themselves in the comical meetings of their so called (parliament) concerning the ethnic and sectarian allotment they created inventing hilarious vocabularies such (the big components and the smaller minorities), establishing one time articles and paragraphs in their monstrous (constitution) and their shaky legislation and at the other, refuting them to fit the US-Zion- pagan Safawide plan to piece and dismember Iraq, denying any citizenship' right for any Iraqi, these rights consecrated by the Baath' Revolution in Iraq throughout thirty five years, as a sacrosanct value, giving every Iraqi an equal opportunities to live with dignity, freedom, and work regardless of his/her ethnic, religious and sects' backgrounds.

The occupation of Iraq, the destruction of its state and the ill famed null and void resolutions and laws mentioned above, were the key they wanted to piece and dismember Iraq, disperse and chase in every directions all its sons and daughters.. hence we witnessed the killing according to ethnic, religious, national or patriotic identity and displacing people by force.. This led to no less than one and half million Iraqi martyrs and victims.. and to more than four million displaced Iraqis, add to them those many millions who are jobless and are deprived from getting their salaries and their right to live in dignity with the very minimum services and the simplest human rights..

The puppet sectarian parties, be Sunni or Shia the likes of the (high council for the Dawa Party - the Islamic Party) and the stooge Kurdi Parties, exchanged roles and suspicious deals to piece and fracture Iraq under the auspices of the US occupiers who try their best to lure the Iraqi people with their hollow talk about (reconstruction and investment) and encouraging at the same time the so called (federations of their (Kurdistan) in exchange of the (Central and southern) regions.

This is why the puppets Talabani and Barazani are roaming about and rambling over to amputate Kirkuk, Khaniqin, Jalawla, many other cities and wide regions of Nineveh from Iraq united body, entrusting to the Assayish and the Peshmergah Mukhabarat = the secret and torture Kurdish services ) belonging to the US' stooges Kurdish parties, to harm the sons and daughters from amongst our Christian people in Mosul through murder,ethnic cleansing, and displacement by force to empty the town from its sons and daughters in order to kurdisize some of its areas in order to piece and dismember all Iraq.

Internal Enemies Must be Dealt With

At this point, victory is nearly at-hand and a new dawn awaits as the sun shifts and begins to rise. The defeat of the United States and the Coalition of tyranny has been assured by the Resistance of the Supreme Command for Jihad and Liberation led by President Izzat Ibrahim ad-Douri. The US and Western economies are collapsing and they must retreat home to calm the storms at home. With this comes an opportunity in Arabia that cannot be passed up. With the United States retreating from Arabia and the Zionists weakened and cowering due to this, it is left only with Iran and Arabia. Iran's aims for forceful unification of Iraq and other areas of Arabia cannot be allowed to occur.

When Iran expressed these aims in the 1970s, it led to the Second Battle of Qadisiyyat. Behind the glorious defense of the Arab motherland, lied a darker fact that traitorous regimes like the royal families of Saudi Arabia, the Emirates and Kuwait were using this, biding their time until the front was safe, to make their attacks on Iraq and their Arab brothers. As Iraq stands on the frontlines again against Iranian Imperialism, the same still occurs. When the new Iraqi Revolution liberates Baghdad, there are many traitors who will stand in opposition; fearing the end of their regional hegemony over parts of Arabia and the prospect of full Arab and Socialist revolution, liberation and unification.

The grounds must be laid for the total liberation of the Arab homeland. Whatever alliances are necessary should take-place and the Arab Revolution must spread into the Arabian Peninsula, throughout the Mashriq, the Maghrib and onward. It would be unwise for any Arab Nationalist to take the Arab regimes which now refuse to back and stand-by their brothers in Iraq as allies or even a neutral party. There are many who must go for the Arab Revolution to fulfill its mission.

Iran's Imperialist aims are dangerous and the victory of Iran would mean the destruction of the Arab homeland; but it is the treason of many cowards who sit in their luxurious palaces which allows Iran to move closer. Iran is a dangerous enemy to the Arab homeland, but the danger represented by them is external, and never as dangerous as the fifth columns amongst ourselves.

There are many supposed supporters of Arabism who wish to call all Arab regimes friends and only the Iranians, Zionists and US as enemies. This overlooks those who work against the Arab Revolution from within and cannot continue. The priority at this time when Iran and the United States is being pushed from Arabia must be dealing with internal enemies and once they are gone, then external enemies can be defeated.

A Written Response to the Naysayyers and Those Who Doubt the Iraqi Resistance

In the Name of Allah, the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful;

There are those who doubt that the Iraqi Resistance is truly gaining ground, they spread lies and rumours and willingly or unwillingly serve as propaganda agents of the Iranian thieves and occupiers. It is necessary to address these rumours by countering them. There are 3 primary arguments raised as to subvert the real news of Resistance victory. The first is to negate the Resistance entirely, by saying that Iran is popular in Iraq and that they are the real force which people turn to (especially in the South). The second is to shift the Resistance onto other forces, this lie encourages the belief that other forces, especially the Political Council for the Iraqi Resistance or the Islamic State of Iraq are the primary forces of Resistance and not the Supreme Command for Jihad and Liberation. The third is to limit the success of the Resistance by saying that the Resistance is limited to central Iraq only, and their popularity does not extend to all of Iraq.

The first argument bases itself on the idea that Iraqi Shia do not support and did not support President Saddam Hussein and the government of the Ba'ath. This lie is a real lie, it ignores the fact that the majority of the Iraqi Army under Saddam was Shia and that the majority of the Resistance, being made up often of people formerly in the military, is Shia. The Squadrons of the Liberation of the South, Squadrons of the Revolution of al-Husayn, the Brigades of Hassan al-Askari and many other Resistance groups are predominately Shia and centred in the South. The fact that the Squadrons for the Jihad in Basra and other groups have carved out liberated swathes across Iraq and especially in Basra, are ignored for taking the vocal minority of Muqtada al-Sadr as the majority. There is no doubt that Iran is in Southern Iraq dictating affairs, but this does not make them popular, it makes them an occupier, and an occupier being defeated and pushed out of Iraq again.

The second argument rests on the rumour that all Resistance can be attributed to "al-Qaeda" or to the Islamic Army. There is no doubt that much of the resistance did come from the Islamic State of Iraq, however, with this came sectarian moves. The Islamic State of Iraq declared war on Iraqi Shia and Christians and so began a campaign against civilians and non-combatants; today the Islamic State is unpopular and they have lost their hold over areas they formerly held. Sections of the Ba'ath have done self-criticism on some tactical alliances and co-operation with the Islamic State and split from them (especially the Jaish al-Mustafa, who carried joint-attacks with the ISI at one point). Their sectarianism has left them despised and many former resistance groupings have devoted a large portion of their armies to fighting the Islamic State. The Political Council of the Iraqi Resistance, led by the Islamic Army of Iraq, became very known in early stages of the Resistance for the videos of the Sniper named Juba (who turned out to be a myth, created collectively by the Islamic Army's sniper brigade). The Islamic Army and the PCIR however, have seen their popularity fade since agreeing to help with the Quisling government and serve as the 'Sunni militia' fighting Resistance groupings. Half of the Islamic Army's armed forces, including nearly the entire sniping brigade, went over to the Supreme Command; in addition to members of Hamas-Iraq and JAMI. Finally, the Jaish al-Mujahideen and Jaish al-Fatiheen have both split from the PCIR, taking 1/3 of the remaining PCIR with them, and joining the true Resistance. It is common estimation that over two-thirds of the former Political Council is now within the Supreme Command. In addition, careful evidence from their videos shows that many of the so-called attacks of the PCIR are recycled videos from over two years ago. There is no doubt that the Supreme Command for Jihad and Liberation is the largest and most capable Resistance grouping today.

The third argument stands on the fact that most Resistance attacks against the occupation, occur in the central areas, in the provinces of al-Anbar, Salah ah-Din, Diyala and Baghdad. This is a fact, but it ignores the reasons. The reasons are that the majority of the US occupation forces are in these areas of the country. "Camp Victory" the primary American logistic and overall base, is in Baghdad, as is the US 3rd and 4th Infantry Divisions which comprise the 'Multi-National Division Baghdad' and 'Multi-National Division Centre'. The 'Multi-National Division North' which is mainly the US 1st Armoured Division, is stationed and based in Salah ah-Din governate. The 'Multi-National Force West' which is primarily the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force is based in al-Anbar governate. Hence, with the 4 primary 'Multi-National Divisions' centred in and occupying these provinces, is it any shock that the Resistance aims most of its attacks there? The Most Noble Qur'an states: "And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out" (Surat al-Baqarah; 191) And the occupier has been found and is being turned out of these provinces they most occupy. Much of the rest of the country and even much of these provinces, are Resistance-controlled. The military parade of Jaish al-Mustafa celebrating their control over Mosul was ignored by the Western media; as is the fact that most areas outside of the primary US bases in several major cities are governed by the Supreme Command.

We hope this will dispell the rumours and myths that the Resistance is dying, dead or not under the Command of the Supreme Commander and President Izzat Ibrahim ad-Douri.

We salute the entire Resistance, the Ba'ath Party, the 27 armed groupings of the Supreme Command for Jihad and Liberation, the General Command of the Armed Forces and we say Allah hears the one who praises Him. Allah grants victory to the believers and so the believers are called to march until complete victory.

A little over a week ago, on the anniversary of the founding of the Supreme Command for Jihad and Liberation, the statement was made that the Supreme Command would look to moving into the third-stage of warfare, a conventional assault on the Quisling government occupying Baghdad. Censored News Stories Highlighted by Academic Research Group

Media Accountability Day, October 1, is the annual release of the news stories that were not covered by the corporate-mainstream media in the US. The list, just announced by Project Censored at Sonoma State University in California, includes the twenty-five most important uncovered news stories of the year selected by over 200 academics.

Stories about the Iraq occupation lead the list. Unreported in the US corporate media is how over one million Iraqis have met violent deaths resulting from the 2003 US led invasion. According to a study conducted by the British polling group Opinion Research Business the human toll exceeded 900,000 as of August 2007. In addition, a United Nations Refugee Agency study found that five million Iraqis had been displaced by violence in their country.

Also ignored by mainstream media was the report of how three hundred Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans came forward in March of 2008 to recount the brutal impact of the ongoing occupations. The Winter Soldier hearings in Silver Spring, Maryland, organized by Iraq Veterans Against the War, presented multiple testimonies by veterans who witnessed or participated in atrocities against Iraqis or Afghans.

Independent media reported that the United States Federal Reserve shipped $12 billion in US currency to Iraq at the beginning of the war of which at least $9 billion went missing, but this story never saw the light of day in the US mainstream.

Additionally, many anti-war activists will be surprised to learn that President Bush has signed two executive orders that would allow the US Treasury Department to seize the property of any person perceived to, directly or indirectly, pose a threat to US operations in the Middle East.

Also not reported in the US news is how the leaders of Canada, the US, and Mexico have been secretly meeting to expand the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) to form a militarized tri-national Homeland Security force and how more than 23,000 representatives of US private industry are working with the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to collect information on fellow Americans.

Coverage of how massive new US-backed military funding threatens peace and democracy in Latin America and that NATO officials are considering a first strike nuclear option was also missing from the corporate press.

Unreported news also includes the stories that the Justice Department believes it is legal for the president to secretly ignore previous executive orders anytime he wants, and the FDA is complicit in allowing drug companies to make false, unsubstantiated, and misleading advertising claims.

Censored news stories also included why the No Child Left Behind program is a huge success for corporate profits, but have had little positive impact on public education. Children in juvenile detention centers in the US face conditions that involve sexual and physical abuse, and even death. And radioactive materials from nuclear weapons production sites are being dumped into public landfills, and being used as recycled metals.

Untold news includes CARE announcing last year that it was turning down $45 million in food aid from the United States government because the procedures the US demands for handling the food actually increases starvation instead of relieving it.

Rounding out the Project Censored list is the news that the guest worker program in the United States victimizes immigrant workers and creates a new form of indentured servitude and that twenty-seven million slaves exist in the world today.

Censorship is a harsh term, but the shocking fact is that the corporate-mainstream media in the US was so busy entertaining us that these and many other important news stories became lost in a news system run amuck.

The Real Face of Iraq is Lost in American Media

BOSTON - “American media coverage of the Middle East is not making any progress” admits Kael Alford, a Nieman fellow and highly respected photojournalist at a presentation held Tuesday September 30 at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs in Harvard University.

“There is simply no market for what we do. When I took the decision to go to Iraq in 2003, I was certain just by reviewing the press that Western media coverage of the conflict in general was very much one sided.

“I saw plenty of photographs of Saddam Hussein in leading magazines and newspapers, but little to nothing on the daily life of Iraqis affected by the conflict. I had to rely on my own resources to make the journey from Europe, and arrived in Iraq just before the air strikes began. For three weeks, I photographed the day to day misery and suffering of Iraqis caught up in the crisis.

“Even at the height of the conflict, very few pictures were published by Western media. In fact, I was contacted by CNN for photographs two years after I had taken them! Things are getting worse.

“Few Western journalists have Arabic language skills or real knowledge of the region they are covering. Americans are simply not interested in any more stories on Iraq Palestine or possibly the Middle East. Even if I wanted to take the risk and go back to Iraq, I simply couldn’t afford it on my own expense.

“Washington think tanks were described by an attendant as “Bush’s policy shops” geared towards providing the “intellectual cover for the administration’s failed foreign policy.”

“It is time for think tanks and policy makers in DC to open the floor to more authentic voices from the region, particularly given the limited coverage made by American media in general,” argued another participant.

“My pictures are not news in Washington," says Alford. “The Washington community knows very well the damage we caused to Iraqi civilians. It not as simple as, let’s get the troops out, and everything will be ok.

“We need to clear up the mess we helped to create. Tens of thousands of refugees were displaced during this crisis and they are now a real challenge for neighboring countries like Egypt Syria and Lebanon. Providing assistance to these refugees is a good starting point for the new administration. Western media needs to focus more on human rights concerns,” concluded Alford.

Arabism is Civilization

This article is necessary because many Arabs are now ignorant of their own civilizing mission; they see it as limited to only the areas that are now presently called "Arab" by the Arab League and other international bodies. Arabism is civilization, it is the very fabric of modern society and the Arab resurrection is the resurrection of civilization. It is true that we Arabs must look to resurrecting our own identity and our nation; reunifying it and moving into a new dawn, but this is not only beneficial to Arabs, but to all of mankind.

Arabism did not begin due to any foreign influence, Arabism began due to the common links of all Arabs. Arabism as a concept existed in many ancient Arab societies which took root in the Bilad al-Rafidayn, Máṣr and the Indus valley. Ever since the seed of civilization was planted; it has blossomed from Arabs to the rest of the world. The great pyramids and the learning of Maṣr led, by increasing contact through merchants, to the civilization of Greece; the great aquaducts of the Bilad al-Rafidayn led to the acquaducts of Rome and the accomplishments coming from Arab civilization led to all other civilizational projects.

This goes beyond architecture and to the foundations of society; as is common knowledge, all of the Prophets were Arab and the role they have played in delivering the message of progress and peace has endured through the ages. When the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) spoke, he spoke to Arabs, in the Arabic language. Within 30 years after his death, the world, which was in the darkness, without literacy or anything resembling modern philosophy, science, medicine, chemistry, mathematics, etc. had already begun to become illuminated by the light of Arabism. From the Banu Umayya onward, Arabism lit the way forward. Arab philosophers and scholars dedicated themselves to discovering further and further accomplishments, leading to all modern civilization.

The stagnation and decline of the leading role of Arabs was due to foreign influence; had Arabs maintained their civilizing role and not given way to adopting foreign ways and customs, the world would be far more advanced than it is currently. The rebirth of Arabism today, and the glorious struggle and Jihad to liberate the Land of the Two Rivers, is a fight which will illuminate the world from its time of darkness. In the past 40 years, there has not been a single great advancement or accomplishment by science that has truly improved humanity's lot. In the past 20 years, half of the world has gotten poorer and it continues to. The "advanced" Nations increasingly move towards social-collapse and animalistic behaviour as their societies wither and die. The victory of the Supreme Command for Jihad and Liberation is not merely the salvation of Arabs, but by extension, the salvation of the entire world from the darkness.

Under the leadership of Comrade President Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, we move ever-closer to a new dawn.

Socialism Before Marxism

This article is necessary because it comes at a time where Marxism-Leninism is experiencing a renaissance, from Nepal to Europe and even Arabia. Thus, it becomes necessary to address the question of what is to be done and what science is to be used Marxism-Leninism or Arab Socialism. The question of which will win out, Marxism-Leninism or Arabism has in truth, already been decided and has already played itself out, but many intellectuals wish to ignore the truth and continue espousing Marxism-Leninism and old lines. So, it is time enough that we Arabs address the issue for ourselves.

Socialism has existed for centuries. According to even Marx himself, he did not create Socialism, but it had existed in other forms (from Christian Socialism to Utopian Socialism to Pre-Feudal Socialism etc.). The roots of Socialism for the Arab must then begin with the classic society based along tribal lines, in which the tribe itself owned everything and every member of the tribe benefitted from this. This is a base-form of Socialism, which was not advanced nor did it single-handidly unite the Arab nation, but all members of the Arab nation lived in and moved from this sort of society.

From the three primary "first civilizations" of Arabs in the Bilad al-Rafidayn (modern Iraq), the Nile (modern Egypt) and the Indus Valley (modern India), Arab civilization began to develop out of tribal based society and into a more complex society. These societies often lived on the basis of slavery and in some advanced cases, serfdom. With the rise of the Message of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), the unification of the Arab homeland began. This revolution itself did not finish or conclude with the life of the Prophet, but it only began there. Over the following centuries, the Arab homeland was mostly united from al-Andalus to India, the height coming during the reign of the Khalifate of the Abassids in Baghdad.

The first main Socialism during this period was the revolution of Hamdan Qarmat. Qarmat believed in radical equality, as well as a form of mysticism and he led a revolution in Bahrain (historical Bahrain, the region). In the state he established, all people received an equal amount of necessities and lived quite well and participated in society as equals. Over the next few decades however, his society sunk into banditry and eventually collapsed in on itself. Nonetheless, the radical message he preached would have great impact on the people of that region.

By the late-1000s by the Western calendar, the Arab homeland was in crisis. The Turks had by-and-large taken over much of the Abbasid lands, while the Fatimids of Egypt had formed their own Khalifate. With the coming of the Crusades, things only went from bad to worse. During this time, a man named Hassan as-Sabbah, who had been studying in Egypt, began to propagate a rebellion against the Turks, Fatimids and the Crusaders. Establishing his base at Alamut, the Assassins, as they become known, launched a campaign against all 3. Working often by assassination, they also propagated their ideology in villages, gaining bases and villages around key cities, they were able to wage their people's wars to a large degree of success, notably assassinating Nizam al-Mulk the Vizier of the Seljuk Turks in 1092, Ibn al-Khashshab the Seljuk Qadi of Aleppo in 1125, Al-Afdal Shahanshah the Vizier of the Fatimids in 1121, Khalifah Al-Amir of the Fatimids in 1130, Raymond II the Count of Tripoli in 1152 and even the Christian King of Jerusalem Conrad of Montferrat in 1192. These successes largely achieved their goals and their leader, Rashid ad-Din Sinan came to an understanding with Salah ah-Din later. The efforts of Hamdan Qarmat in creating a Socialist society, as well as Hassan as-Sabbah in the formation of a vanguard organization as well as a successful people's war, far pre-date the works and lives of Marx, Lenin or Mao.

Another greatly important theoretician was Ibn Khaldun, whose works clarified the contradiction inherent in civilizations and ruling classes, which cause their rise and fall and rise of a new order. His works also clarified the fundamentals of economics. Truly, Ibn Khaldun did 500 years earlier, what most give credit to Marx for inventing.

The history of Socialism in Arabia and the Arab context far pre-date Marxism-Leninism and Maoism, it would be very unwise and foolish for Arabs to discard thousands of years of history and shorten history to the past 200 years as most Marxists do. There is nothing in Marx, Engels, Lenin or Mao for Arabs to learn, for we Arabs can look amongst our own history for knowledge.

This was released a while ago and I have distributed it around, nevertheless, this blog will hopefully serve this to a larger audience or at least a few who haven't seen it yet. The Army of Men of the Naqshbandi Order is within the Supreme Command for Jihad and Liberation, this it the 13th Major Collection Release, in addition to the monthly magazine it releases and the single-attack videos it puts out regularly. As it is a collection, it is quite large and is divided into six segments. All of these are .mpg or .wmv, given time, I will convert them to .rmvb or .rm and put them up also.

A Change in the Direction of Global Geopolitics

Excerpts from the Article entitled "Dramatic Shifts and Change in the Direction of Global Geopolitics" by Dr. Yusuf Makki of the Nationalist Democratic Rally (Ba'ath) in Bahrain.

The past few weeks were full of events, perhaps even with clear signs that we are nearing the end of the unipolar era, and returning to different centers and polarization in the international arena. Perhaps the most important events of this was the Russian attitude towards the deployment of a U.S. defense system( anti-ballistic long-range missiles) on the territory of Poland. In this context, Deputy Chief of the Russian general staff, General Anatoly Togovetsin threatened that the deployment of this system will put Russian-American relations at risk and that they expose Poland to the risk of attack by Russian nuclear weapons.

This is the first time since the end of the Cold War between East and West that it is in the plans to set-up nuclear missiles in Europe, according to a British report. The reasons for this trend is the feeling of the Russian administration that there is a need to counter the U.S. strategy of encircling Russian territory. They may be used to weaken the deterrent capabilities, including having to resort to taking appropriate measures to counter the threats against national security. The British newspaper "The Times" quoted that the Kremlin plan, is likely to include the deployment of missiles in Kaliningrad- a Russian province situated between Lithuania and Poland. Kaliningrad has been declared a nuclear weapons-free-zone following an agreement between Moscow and Washington on reducing nuclear arsenals at the end of the cold war era.

The other major event is the Russian military intervention in Georgia, destroying a number of institutions and infrastructure and the recognition of the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia from the Georgian state and the general Turkish Pro-Russian stance.

An understanding of the recent events in Russian politics, requires a careful reading of developments in Russia and the surrounding areas, and its effects on international politics.

Former Russian President Putin has been able during his recent tenure to introduce Russia on the international scene, after recovering from the collapse and organizing at home. It began with the production of the latest fighter aircraft in the world, then continued with the announcement of a missile-system which can avoid "missle interception" capable also of carrying nuclear warheads. The hegemony of the U.S. administration gave him dedicated allies, Venezuelan president Chavez's latest arms deals and aircraft and ballistic weapons to Syria show this.

At the global level, Russia opposed the decision to impose further sanctions on Iran, and has announced reservation at a decision by the UN Security Council to form an international tribunal for the killers of the late Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. He also questioned the issuance of another resolution from the Security Council to close the file of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction. He strongly opposed US policy in Kosovo, despite the Left's silence and urged a steadfast stop to the European missile shield project which was announced by President George W. Bush, he threatened to return the cold war and stop the disarmament talks. It also expelled four British diplomats and refusing to extradite several Russian security service members accused of killing a Briton under the argument that the Constitution does not allow extradition of Russian citizens to another state. He also used vetoed condemnation of the President of Zimbabwe. All indications from the Kremlin clarify in unequivocal terms the return of the cold war climate with new formulations of more pragmatism and objectivity, and away from the glint in ideological disputes.

Recent developments, without a doubt will be a new era in the history of international relations, and will end the era of emergency in human history, the uniqueness of the era in which American decision-making violated and flouted all international laws and norms.

We have been in the era of uni-polarity after the end of the Cold War. A dark and grim era in human history, which resulted in the emergence of "new McCarthyism" and the occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq and creating ethnic, sectarian and fundamentalist lines in an attempt to ignite civil war in Iraq, Algeria and Somalia, Yemen and Lebanon with the overall aim of disintegrating social fabric there and in a number of other Arab countries in preparation for the creation of a state of fragmentation and ripping them further apart. They have imposed a siege and a state of emergency on Palestinian towns and cities and build roadblocks and walls. If the occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq, is a genuine expression of the manifestations of the end of the Cold War, and the rule of unilateralism, the events of Georgia, the Russian attitude towards the planned missile shield developed in Eastern Europe perhaps represent a new era in international relations. A return to the era of accountability to charters, treaties and conventions, and a restoration of the confidence in international law and the Charter of the United Nations. It will be the outcome of this era of reformulation of the map of alliances in the world, enabling a number of countries to escape the grip of dominationalism.

What are the features of the new era, and their effects on the Arab reality, and how those changes should be taken by us, us Arabs, and other issues related, will be the subject of discussion at the next talk, God willing.

Sectarian-Iran Government Destroys Largest Sunni School

Yesterday the Iranian Basij and police destroyed the largest religious school and masjid for the Sunnis in Iran in Zabol, Balochistan Province in eastern Iran has arrested many of its lecturers and students.

As reported by sources from the University, the government's armed forces attacked the Imam Abu Hanifa religious school, which is an affiliate of the University of Islamic Sciences in Zahedan. The Abu Hanifa School was the largest religious school for the Sunnis in Iran, where it was ranked second in terms of census and students ranked first in terms of overall progress in matters of education ranked according to Honor Degrees as well as scores on annual tests.

Sources confirmed that more than 80 cars belonging to police forces and elements of "Basijis" arrived at the Imam Abu Hanifa Masjid and arrested many professors and students who were taken to unknown locations and then proceeded to destroy the Masjid via bulldozers.

There has been no explanation by Iranian authorities or reasoning for this process. However, this is only one of many attacks by Iranian authorities against religious institutions and clerics this year, earlier this year a prominant Sunni scholar, Sheikh Ahmed Narhoei was arrested. The University of Islamic Sciences in Zahedan has stated: "We condemn these practices, which totally violate Islamic teachings and are incompatible with the principles of human rights and totally contradicts that which is in the Iranian constitution which gives full rights for us to pursue our own affairs in education."

Our Arab brothers and sisters in the Ahwazi Arab Renaissance Party have described the operation as a crime which stems from the sectarian discrimination and racial hatred exercised by leaders of the Iranian regime against the Sunnis in particular, but also all Non-Persian peoples and nationalities. They have also called on Arab and Islamic movements defending the Iranian regime, especially Islamic Jihad, Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood and others to condemn this heinous act and other crimes committed daily against Arabs and Sunnis in Iran.
